Incredible dusty times!! :D So glad I checked out Claude VonStroke as per your advice. Seriously, hearing that nasty remix of Percolator felt so wrong, and so right at the same time, and then who's afraid of detroit from the man himself... Awwwwwh man!! Epic!! |
I'm pretty sure you checked him out all on your own! I remember when we ran into each other, you said you heard his beats from a distance, and were drawn over to see who was on. LOL. And ya, Percolator was another fun one, I forgot about that track!
It's true, all this reminiscing is making me want to go back. sigh :( |

I don't know about Claude Von Stroke but Who's Afraid of Detroit is one of my favourite electronic tracks of all time, hands down
so ing eerie
3 channels mix ftw |
I prefer the Stanton Warriors remix myself ;) They're all good though! It's just an all 'round amazing track. Von Stroke in the man when it comes to producing, AND DJ'ing. Genius. |

:wtf:
Hahahaha really?! I could have sworn at some point in the weekend you mentioned I should check out Claude VonStroke. But that does kinda sound familiar now. I guess. lol!!
I really don't like using the word "Dirty" often but that's exactly what Claude was for me. Just downright dirty, heavy, chunky, hearty triple serving of meaty basslines! |

Im so out of the loop, and have heard the word "dubstep" many times as of late....yet I have no idea wtf it is! Have any sets? Im curious ;) |
Man, this is all wrong. It's supposed to be the assured, more experienced guys schooling the young hotties in underground house and techno and not the young studs macking the cool, glamourous babes with the latest and fresh sounds of dubstep. Damn young'ins. :D

It's a shame that it gets such a bad rep with the older crowd. |
I think you'll find old schoolers who were into jungle, drum & bass and hardcore to be into that sound. I've given it a listen here and there and it's not really to my liking. It's like you how said in an earlier post where you described techno as more 'subtle' whereas the other genres are more 'in your face'. Underground house and techno is more about the feel and emotion it creates - the whole spectrum from soulful, funky, sexy, playful to intense, aggressive, abrasive and everything in between. Not to say other genres can't make you feel that way, but there's something about that four to the floor beat that does it for a lot of us. Cheers. |

Ditto on the pics Ciara! they look awesome!!! |
Damn, sometimes I just need a clue and then there's those moments I need a hammer to hit me over the head. Thanks for making it clear that C is a chick and not a dude Mikey. A drink on me for that one guy. Cheers.
* I definitely would have used a better choice of words in my reply to your review Ciara, but maybe you're used to locker room talk anyway. Cheers. |

LOL. He's a smooth operator, this young one. At least he knows his techno, and the Chemical Brothers (and not just their new ). He's proven himself worthy. ;) |

No worries, you're not the first that's made that mistake on here. I have to go back and read your response now, I thought it was fine! lol :conf:

Talking about me? Haha. I may be young but I've been listening to nothing but EDM for 5 years. You don't have to be old to know your :P |
