To be honest, with all the bull that Beta had to deal with and all the last minute restrictions they were enforced, they did a pretty damn good job if you ask me.
Beta is one of the nicest clubs I've been too recently. The sound system and lighting rig is top notch and one of the best in the market! The lasers were great and the back of the DJ booth along with the front had some crazy good LED panels! This is speaking from experience as a General Manager of a nightclub in Toronto and hosting events I know how hard it can be to please everyone. I can go on and on but I would highly recommend that everyone check this place out!
The crowd was very young, but this was obviously expected. People were friendly and everyone was dancing, felt like a new age rave, and I mean that in a good way!
Hope things work out and I wish Ryan great success! |

Nice, thanks for the review, Oz. Coming from you that means a lot!!
Sounds like their big opening night was a success despite a few kinks to work out. Now I'm even more anxious to attend an event, ASAP ! ;) |

I wish I went! Unfortunately there's absolutely no way I can go out the night before a workday. I have to wake up too early and can't take the chance of being tired with the type of machinery I have to use. Ryan, I hope we can reschedule another night and do it up proper!
Luv the reviews, especially Oz's. Sounds like you have a winner on your hands. |

| club was amazing inside and the acoustics were great. overall i was really impressed by the layout and all that, but the line was ridiculous. i know the circumstances and everything but the door staff did a terrible job regardless. they were just picking random people and letting them in before me even though i was standing directly in the front of the line for like 25 mins. i was lucky i even got in. and i felt the sound system was missing the BOOM i'm used to at most clubs. it seemed like there was barely any lower end at all in the sound department. but most people didn't mind, steve put on a show. i hope that beta neighbouring places like chainsaw isn't going to affect the bass forever. that would disappoint me |

The building has 8 - double 18" bins. We had to tune them down last night as they were clipping and blowing breakers. Dynacord IMO should have setup 2 more crown amps for the bottom end.
We fixed the bottom end bottom problem by tuning the, down during deko-zes set. Also our floor is a floating floor (old theatre) good on the feet and great for dancing but you do lose some bottom end underneath.
We will deff be playing with our system. Sound engineer is coming in next week to re-tweak. I just wish the room was every so bigger to allow a 4 corner setup.
Thanks for the kind words and great ear for sound! |

I didn't see the final audio setup, but I'm pretty sure it was close last time I was there.
I was kind of surprised you guys didn't have anything hung from the ceiling throwing toward the dancefloor. Like all things sound-wise though, you never really know how it sounds until the room is full. It's early days. |

There was ZERO problems with Highs. No need for flying. Stacks work fine. Add a couple more crown amps and bass will be heavier because the equipment is there. I am impressed it was heard as I am the only one (and the tech) that knew they were being dialed down. |
