| If some of my best friends from uni were people who didn't believe in evolution because they were staunch religious nuts, we argued over this day and night and we still got along, then I'm sure anyone can be friends with anybody else :p |

imho a "Rally to Restore Sanity" would tell people that politicians are all idiots and liars and evil. That's the onnly sane position. There's not one side that right and one that's wrong, as Americans love to believe. There are just people who buy into different bull and keep the ty system named democracy running.
God, I hate politics.  :whip: :whip: |

So, at Stewart's rally you had basically a 99% white hipster crowd who are the "anti tea party"... yet not a hint of racism talk. Hence the point of posting that picture. |
Why would there be racism talk? Were the "brown people" absent because they were banned from entering the rally? |

Umm... what? Jesus Christ. :stongue: In all of the pictures and videos I've seen, the crowd has been an amalgamation of people from all different classifications. There were some hipsters, sure, but I see the same amount of the elderly, middle-aged, children, punks, nerds, jocks, rich people, etc. that I would at any rally. There were plenty of right-wing people in attendance as well. The whole point of the rally was to show that the majority of the country, regardless of political affiliation, aren't as one-sided, loud, obnoxious, racist and plain old bat insane as what is portrayed in the media, and that they're fed up of how much of a circus that media and politics have degenerated into.
You're also posting video and pictures that you're clearly getting from partisan websites. You know damn well that you have been one to say that, "Oh, well you're only posting from a [party]-leaning website, so it's edited to support their views!".
Kudos, Kevin. You've clearly fallen flat on your face harder than you have before. Your attitude and actions in this thread are exactly what the rally was speaking out against. |

That was one of the points of the rally. |

You're only making my point more clear. When your lot posts videos of tea party people speaking at rallies, they are from one-sided partisan websites/interviewers. You can't even recognize when your own hypocrisy is spoon fed to you. |
