That sure helps out your credibility.
My credibility? Do people around here just want to live in an echo chamber of their beliefs, or do they want to see other points of view and evidence that challenges their world view? I don't know man.

The antics of a very vocal minority of your particular political party have alienated many people from even paying attention to whatever any of you have to say. I don't agree with that stance, but in a lot of cases I think that's a large contributing factor.

The only "evidence" you have offered has been weak misinterpretations and overzealous assumptions about a satirical gathering in the name of building a smarter political foundation for non-idiots to not get wrapped up in fear politics. I've read a lot of your posts in PDD, and I know you're smart, but this thread makes me think you're just in it for your party, as the only thing you've done here is mudsling.

So once again, rather than rise above deplorable debate tactics you're happy to sling the back like a monkey and then complain when the other side calls foul.
You mean like pretty much everyone else here does?

"rising above" it- that's just pretend gentleman-speak. People on here vent their thoughts/frustrations and call others out. I don't have anything to prove and I'm not an elected official so I'll keep slinging rather than turn the other cheek.
Rising above it isn't turning the other cheek and accepting the . It's about conducting yourself in the way you believe political discourse should be conducted. You call out the ty tactics, but you yourself respond with reason and fairness.

What's better... 10 +/- political parties like you have in England where the winner represents 23% of the voters? lol.
There you go again - unable to think in anything other than binaries. American System Vs English System. If you fling more at the opposition then it's cool. There are two big points here:
1. I'm not claiming English politics are any better than yours. I think the political system in this country is massively flawed, which is why I spoil my ballot card in protest on election days and refuse to back any one party. Just because I live in a ty system does not mean I endorse that system, does not mean I get on board with that system because it's better than the alternative and definitely does not mean I don't have a right to criticise wankers like you and the system you represent. You're a walking tu quoque fallacy.
2. In practise, the English system is just as much of a two party system as in the US. It's Conservatives Vs Labour, Right Vs Left, and the other parties have no real chance of ruling the country. The election just gone was the first where we had a significant third party. Party politics here is just like politics where you live - the two major players simply sling endlessly at each other. I hate that binary mentality because I see it in my country's politics. This isn't just some Limey attacking your ing country. Learn to think outside the ing box.
So it's not about "What's better", it's about what's wrong. People like you epitomise why democratic politics are deeply ing stupid. Until everyone involved, whether they're "an elected official" or a voter, learns to conduct themselves in the right way then I will have nothing but utter contempt for s like you who pick a side, grab some monkey and start pitching.

Like who? Nou? He's a ing joke of a poster about every subject. If Kevin is using "Nou did it first!" as justification then he's even more pathetic. If I saw anyone else in the COR acting like Kevin: making multiple political threads every week and never missing an opportunity to sling , even if it's at the comedy Rent Is Too Damn High guy, then I'd criticise the out of them too. By all means: name the guilty.

I thought it was pretty effective. The lady at 3:35 is great :haha:
In comparison to what we’ve seen, it was merely “OK”. either there is less material, or the interviewer wasn’t as skilled. imo, probably both.

I didn't know that I was trying to defend "my lot". :stongue: Find where I defended "my lot" in this thread and I'll admit hypocrisy.

Why would I be a retard? You didn't find this funny? Are you so entrenched in your beliefs that you can't have a laugh at some blatant hypocrisy?
edit: I assumed you were an American leftist, sorry. Still don't understand why an Austrailian would take such offense to this video.

I.... I'm sorry I can't help myself. More evidence of the intellectually superior on the Left at Stewart's rally arguing that Obama cannot possibly be a "Keynesian" because he was born in the United States (for those who don't know, Keynesian refers to economic spending policy).

Oh, c'mon Kev!! As if most people know what a Keynesian is... I didn't even know what that was until last year when I started dating Nathan.. :o (mind you, I'm studying microbiology/chemistry, how am I supposed to know some economic spending jargon?)
