Actually, it's a pretty accurate science given its limitations. |

Which is why they've removed Narcissistic Personality Disorder from the DSM-V.

I can already read the post where you reply that they're just trying to be more exact. ;) :p |

| Actually, they probably just wanted to let me off the hook. I'm on their side, after all :D |

You know? Narcissus, catching his reflection in a pool, fell in love with his own image... And here you are, presumably taking pride in your agreement on the removal of NPD from said literature... Hence, the pride of your agreement is akin to the reflection of Narcissus in the pool of water... I mean when you think about it, on a myriad of levels, what's not to get? A 30 year old diagnosis is being grounded from flight, practically disavowing its existence. Hence, its concepts do not allow one to follow an otherwise inevitable conclusion that one would find their reflection blemished by such a position - because that narcissistic reflection could never be ascertained, in the first place! And, while in a world where NPD existed, you might be thought of as mirroring the American Psychiatric Association's views on NPD had the APA not actually withheld its publication from the rough draft of the DSM-V. Not to mention the ostensibly deleterious nature of the decision, in the first place and how its position reflects poorly on its beholder if not the professional now charged to refrain from making said diagnosis!
Only now, even that reflection is rendered inapplicable hence, it reflects poorly! :whip: :p |
