He was offered a contract for 500 million for 5 years at Sirius and he is now on his last year of his contract, throughout this time he brought MILLIONS of subscribers to Sirius- enough to actually cause the collapse and force the merger between sirius and xm. WHat other entertainer or "dj" do you know whose million of fans would pay a monthly fee just to hear him? The rumor mill is that Itunes is now offering him 600 million for 3 years- but what do they know Itunes is a mom and pop shop, right? Consumers like you know much better.

The skits /bits he has done on his show have been stolen by others to become successful and lucrative sitcoms, shows, bits etc. In the last month he has interviewed Billy Joel, Jay-Z and MArtin Scorcesse, I think they have been on OA as well right? lol. When guests visit his show they become the top google search trend for that day- but what do millions of people who use google know right?

Your awareness of his impact on pop culture shows how little your view actually counts in the grand scheme of things. I actually have sympathy for you that you never had the opportunity to experience why he truly is the king of all media. Stay with Opie and Anthony or better yet listen to the radio lol...it really is more your speed- your the true statistical minority and thankfully your vote really doesnt count....bababooey biotches.

Just cause Hoo Hoo Howie has a good guest booker does not mean the show is better.

i've heard some howard stern interviews and parts from his shows. never ever heard someone so full of going on and on about pointless and thinking he has a point. stern helped popularise the shock-jock culture and i truly think he should be hung for that.

I used to listen to Howard when HE WAS STILL FUNNY. Remember that? No. Well, maybe if you watched Private Parts.

His show was edgy, it had some funny bits and Jackie Martling made the show much better. As a matter of fact, Howard showed himself quite nicely when the whole Martling fiasco came about. I'd give him props for what he has contributed... but dark side of that is all the morning show dickcheeses that followed, the ones that O&A mock in their Jocktober bit.

Now, lately O&A have been slacking off too - focusing too much time bitching about their "not as fat as that useless ing fat cnt Patrice O'Neal" contracts. I also hate when they stick the interns on the air too - annoying ing s. And Jimmy makes the show funny...

Regardless, believe it or NOT, few years ago, before the merger - I actually didn't buy a car because it had Sirius instead of XM radio.. I you not. Why? Coz I didn't want to listen to Howie and his salad-tossing dull flunkies. I wanted to be ENTERTAINED and made LAUGH - both products that neither Howard nor Sirrius could deliver without buying out a competitor.

anywho, he sucks and his head is so big he doesn't even see how he has become the Pig Vomit and Imus, as portrayed in Private Parts. He has become that jock who is deathly afraid of competition, so he shrieks and accuses everyone of stealing his ideas.

You know what? We won't convince each other, so whatever. I don't give a ... it's you who has this emotional loss to deal with. Be strong, little one!
Moral Hazard
what I find funny about this all is that anyone believes Stern. He does this everytime he his contract is up with any employer... it's a negotiating ploy plain and simple.
