honestly tho, can't you just picture really hot girls just dancing their asses off. That is the mark of a good dance tune. That was my goal when I used to be a dj, and that was also my goal when I was a producer. IF girls are dancing, then so are the guys. Not the other way around.

I don't remember hearing cheesy vocals in any of your tracks...

You're right - any DJ's that plays to the ladies will get a club firing, but when I hear that track I also envision a sea d-bag guidos, Ed hardy collars popped and enough hair gel to sink a battle ship.

Not to mention those "hot" girls are bright orange, and when you get close up to their face you realise you'd prefer to fornicate with ET.

I don't know what is going here. That track is quite typical of everything that is wrong with EDM. The beginning sounds like a ECM monitor during a total cardiac arrest, the vocal is plainly terrible and something that would make the black eyed peas embaressed, and the bass is nothing that justice wasn't doing two years ago.

It'll sell tons I imagine, and good on Joel for doing so, but quality, at least in musical terms it is not.

I expect more from you Bradley :whip:

what can I say, I like music that has this tinge of bad ass ness to it. I've never really liked soft music. That track is aggressive and that is why I like it. Not to mention the female syncopation is just great all round. The synths are well done and have this great distortion and it sounds ala wolf gang garntner but a little less quirky.

Yes the guidos suck but they can't dance and it is funny being 30 still remembering all the dancing I spent at raves for years. They just jump around like gorillas. Honestly, I don't go clubbing but every so often I can to an after-hours and get ripped. Enough E's and you will see me timing my back flips to the drops.

There is so much bad electro house but that track is good. My threshold of listenability is quite high. I like 0.1 % of music.

in 2000 to 2003, the girls were into hardtrance. At least where I was. And that is the type of music I made with a few experiments on the house side. But all my tracks are bad ass. In fact I have a track called bad ass. Its only medium bad ass/

Maybe you don't understand my definition of bad ass

Here are a few tracks I find badass including the one already posted
Some new some old. All different genres.

wou'd not say hard trance is completely dead. It has definitely changed a bit with most of the producers toning the aggressiveness down. The UK hard scene was always really bad tho. The difference between UK and the rest of Europe is much different in regards to their trance.

I think the biggest issue is that djs need to play songs from many genres. It is very easy to mix some harder trance tunes with some aggressive electronic stuff

I find this track almost what hard trance used to be. IT was badass and it was hard

Could easily mixed the more modern hard trance

I love that track, though admittedly I love electro house and deadmau5. I know every word, and I think the track is genius, her vocals are perfect for it. A lot of people that complain about the track don't like that there's no real melody to the vocals, it's more of a chant, but I think it works in this case because it's effortless to chant along to it, so everyone does.

And for those comparing this to his stuff with MeleeFresh... okay maybe in style/genre but SOFI's vocals don't hurt my ears so bad I want to stab myself in the face and the lyrics aren't so ing stupid that I'm amazed someone was able to write something that ridiculous. Even as a deadmau5 fan I have no idea what Joel was thinking when he did those tracks.

@M4B Curious how you feel about Cthulu sleeps and A City In Florida from his 4x4=12 album.

not bad but it doesn't really stand out.

i don't understand how anyone cannot find that track extremely badass and groovy. Even if you hate deadmau5. The song is fantastic and vocals are great. NO annoying ElectroHouse annoying chirps and pitch bend synths.
And palm, that remix was by SCot Project who pretty much invented Hard Trance but he keeps evolving and although his songs still pound, they are just more mature sounding and better overall. The form of that tune is great how he uses both melodic sections.

i wouldn't have expected that much love for that deadmau5 track from you m4b

I really like it. It is just a bad ass sexy song. The syncopation of the lyric is so damn sassy , the one lead has this really nice distortion on it, the beat is simple and groovin. ANyways, Agree to disagree but that track is one of the few of his tracks that really stand out. That and strobe.

are you serious? again haha what about his older stuff faxing berlin for example? if i had to choose a song to make the mau5 stand out i wouldnt choose ANY of his new stuff. no offence to him i think he is very talented however now he signed that contract it seems like his music has changed ALOT
