So Beatport stopped labeling thier tracks? (pg. 2)

| I still haven't seen a site as good as mine when it comes to proper tags and file names. I've been instigating about the issue for years... more recently I've come to the conclusion that they don't care because it won't impact their bottom line in any measurable way. Boycott Beatport for its shoddy tagging? I doubt it. |

same here. bought a single here the other day, with a few remixes I hadnt heard before.. got like 3-4 tracks all with just the song-title in the tags, nothing about mix/remix. had to cross-check the lengths to confirm which was which.. :p but beatport has normally been good when it comes to tagging, audiojelly on the other hand have always been horrible -I emailed them about it once, they said it was just temporary while they switched systems or something.. temporarity is very relative obviously.. |

| when you pay for something and you don't get what you want---> Go to another store. Beatport is not a monopoly but is the biggest store for EDM, now they look like they're reducing costs/quality, call it as you want, so i think it is a good time to go to the competence. |

They kind of have a monopoly. There's no other place where you can get all the tracks you need if you have an diverse taste in EDM. And most of the competition isn't much better than Beatport either, to be honest.
I made a complain thread about this a while back, if there was a really good alternative to Beatport I would love to use it, but there isn't. |

I would have to agree. As SYSTEM-J pointed out, the usefulness you will find in most download sites depends largely upon their emphasized style, though Beatport manages to issue at least a few pages of daily releases for even the less popular genres, whereas other sites tend to sporadically add a few tracks here and there for the same ones. |

| Beatport has a much bigger catalog than any other site. All of the reputable labels are selling their music on it, so I'm forced to use it. |

Yep, I am in the same boat. Also alot of my tracks lately have been tagged completely wrong (Wrong remix, etc).
In addition to that, their downloader app is simply horrible, it always puts [] before the name of release (just ugly imo).
Also, when I buy something to listen I am ALWAYS forced to add track numbers myself.
Is it really hard to get basic like this right? If an alternative popped up to beatport, I would use it in an instant. |

| Try going lossless. No tags whatsoever. It's completely DIY at $3 per track. |
