So Beatport stopped labeling thier tracks? (pg. 3)

| The ones I download usually has the right ID tags but its never complete. I always end up redoing the tags myself so it's not a issue for me. |

i've had a few things download with stuff missing / wrong tags ...but not that big of an issue. randomly something will list the genre as 52 or some number like that. idk
i like using the 'groupings' section for label, so I don't mind if i need to change another field too |

Have any of you lost your bought tracks from your download library in Beatport? After buying and downloading 48 tracks, I can't see any of them on the "re-download" section in my download library. In fact, I can see nothing in the library. Only in the "downloaded" section, from which I can't download them anymore.
I don't know if I'm morally wrong, but I think I should be able to re-download the tracks as many times as I want to once I've bought them?
I thought this was the day I realised I'm gonna have to start buying mp3's, and I still think so. I feel safe when I have my physical, bought records on my shelf, ripped to my hard drive. If I crash a hard disk, I haven't really lost anything. Only a week's worth of time on the ripping process. |

Just warez your lost songs. You have the order receipt thing, so its all legal.
Well, in Holland "downloading for own use" is always legal... lol |

I think the deal is that tracks stay in the re-download section for 24 hours after the first download. Just in case the download screws them up.
Not sure why they chose limited re-downloads but it's always a good idea to back them up yourself anyway. |

That's retarded. I don't see why it couldn't be a place to collect your music also. Everything you buy stays in your library and you can manage your "collection" easily. Sort of like Discogs for your mp3s. |

If you happen to lose some of your tracks after the re-download grace period has expired, you could just email customer service, and explain your situation; they've accommodated me a couple of times, in that regard. |

I agree, I guess they don't want to pay for the brandwith or something or maybe the label contracts don't allow it.
Ah well, in a few more years we might be able to store everything online if cloud computing takes off. |

| if you have a debit card you can find real bargains browsing through google, some tunes are at 0.20$ almost free, just depends if you trust the store or not but if you get scammed you won't lose very much, just put 5$ from time to time into that card and use them, some sites are not trustworthy but there are some new sites with really competitive prices. |

LOL do you really think those sites pay ANY royalities to anyone? :stongue: You might aswell pirate then, because paying some russians 0.20$ for nothing is pretty stupid. |

Actually there is a line drawn between downloading music illegally for self usage, is this legal or not?¿ There is a discussion, in my country is legal because we pay taxes for it.
But i'm sure that if you are making profit of this you'll go to jail sooner or later, i think i've already seen 0.20 but say 0.60 is a little royaltie but a royaltie still. You can sell the same tune 10 times at 3$ or 100 times at 0.30 is the same and i think it's better to be in the ipod of 100 people than being in the ipod of 10. |
