That's fine. I'm not scared. I used to purposely do pushups in front of the pansies on the treadmills when I went to the gym, just to rub it in their faces how much more fit I was than them. Lol. God I ing hated people at the gym. Home gym ftw.

I would be interested in doing like 30 days of this. Not gonna suffer for 3 months.

EDIT: They should make a Kinect game out of this.

I originally torrented it, because I justed wanted to try it out. But, it is well worth the money. $120 for over ten work outs, a nutrition plan, that will help you live better. No brainer.

Pushups are just an all around great exercise. I can't NOT do them...something so satisfying about them.

I paid $140 (but am sharing the cost eventually with someone who is going to do the program when I am done) plus some added costs for bands and additional dumbbells.

Gets expensive when you start adding way more protein to your diet as well as any of the supplements he suggests.

they are fad/joke routines.....

but ...BUT if it can motivate someone to get off their ass and stay active then I dont have a problem with it.

The problem is its just some bs that people buy , they do one dvd maybe once adn then it collects dust.

its not earth shattering or some magical answer to working out. youll get the same results(or better) doing any kind half decent workout routine. watch your diet and youll lose weight. its pretty simple.

but people are always looking for that quick answer and they did a great job in marketing the product.

Pretty much. ^^^

the only way you target your shoulders on pushups is by elevating your legs well over your waist. so best way to do it is have your feet by a wall and crawl your feet up the wall so your on an incline then to make sure youre not targeting your upper chest or your back you have to have your arms apart wide but not too wide. if your arms are close together youll be targeting your inner upper chest. arms to far apart you'll be targeting alot on your back, so you have to find a happy medium. the higher youre up on the wall the more of your shoulders you will target.

well in my eyes p90x is a good starter cookie cutter routine. I've been doing sports and working out since i was a teenager. I know from yeaaars of experience how to target different muscles and I know my own body and what it reacts too. everybody's body is different, knowing what works and what doesn't is just years of trying different things, recording it and learning. P90x iis decent though for a well rounded workout. but still watching a video and mimicking doesnt mean you will have proper form or be targeting the right muscles. you physically need to work out with someone who knows what theyre doing to be watching you and telling you "hey you're leaning with your back to the right straighten the up or you're shoulder blades aren't pressed together, youre cheating"

Everyone is forgetting that the shoulders (aka deltoids) are made of 3 muscles. Pushups, bench press, and all those exercises work the front deltoids, but not the mid and back ones. To avoid injury people need to balance their muscles, so pushups are NOT a good shoulder exercise and shouldn't be the only exercise they rely on for shoulders.

Chin ups are good for biceps and forearms, while pull ups are for lats.

Agree 100% (although 6 days/week of 1hr/day is more than the avg person exercises) - The thing I like about it is the structure. Set number of days, do this on this day, eat this, and it will work. Got it. Plus there are so many people hooked on it that there are a ton of online networks for support. Those elements make it easier to really commit and follow through.

I have numerous other workout DVDs, these are the only ones I have done with any amount of consistency. And they don't ignore form - he is very specific, and reminds you to do this or think about that, the way a trainer would. It's about as good as you're going to get without actually hiring a trainer at a gym somewhere.
