| Some of you may say I'm full of some of you may say whatever but for a city that says they are all about house music and tech house and techno I'm surprised no one is out to see a legend. At work |

I really wanted to come to this but was helping out martin at UN. Excellent night.. Hopefully by now the club is more full? Chez Damier and Jimpster is more of a saturday-type booking IMO. It would be more appreciated by the saturday crowd..
I think we've been spoiled in Montreal for the last year and a half.. there's just way too many quality acts being brought and people can't go to them all.. I'm gonna go see another legend tomorrow night for the 13 percent party. :D |

| I really wanted to go but the storm made the drive up really unfriendly. As soon as I saw Jimpster's name on the bill I said it's going to be amazing, and it's going to be really slow. I don't see the Saturday crowd going for that sound at all, but at least there would be a guaranteed audience. |

| Also, Garreth Emery at Circus most likely took a lot of the friday crowd away, he's got a huge following cuz he's played a few times at Circus the last few years.. I'm sure Circus was rammed to the last night. |

| build your night on local talent and profit maher. Pandering to the whims of a few will never work, it has been proven over and over in Montreal. |

agreed. if you have internationals EVERY single weekend obviously theres going to be disappointment because there's just not enough people in this city that like this music and / or that can go out every weekend. people gotta pick and choose and right now we're spoiled with all the parties / djs that we have access too. |

Carlo Lio's now a friday night resident who I'm sure is relatively cheap cuz he's almost local.. and while it wasn't sold out full, the dance floor was bumpin. I agree with you though, moar Ostrich, Maher and Stereo Collective nights. |

I know they don't play deep house, but both of these guys are known for mostly the deeper side in terms of their productions. Deep House has almost never drawn in an afterhours setting, hell they don't do that good in normal bars/clubs either. Nothing new.
I personally love the stuff, but it is like the scarlet letter here.:p
not enough hulk pill smashness or something. |

Since they opened.
Deep house on it's own in an afterhours is a brave venture. Factor in a Friday and it's a double whammy. I had my heart set on this night, and wanted nothing more than to see it succeed, but previous experience taught me otherwise. When Jimpster tried to play deep at Espace Reunion during normal hours the crowd wasn't into it and he had to pump it up. I applaud Ostrich for trying though. |
