gotcha... well maybe I'm just a crotchety old man but that's outrageous and since it was packed I guess I won't be seeing Armin again anytime soon.

Looking at the tracklist... glad i didn't spend the money. Can't wait for Above & Beyond to be back. Best Buy Theater was awesome.

I should have listened to everyone and boycotted this party. After spending $87 on a ticket and taking a 3 hour bus trip, and subsequently hearing absolute crap from the supposed #1 DJ, I feel rapped. I have never had a worse time at a party. Cheese does not begin to describe what Armin played. He just recycled one flopped production after another. When he played This light between us and had a video of Christian Burns dancing around and singing, I wanted to kill myself. There are so many good producers out there that come out with great tracks everyday, and Armin played virtually none of them. Ask the cat was one of the few tracks I enjoyed. He basically played the same set as EZ, but worse, and EZ was almost a year ago. I have heard On off of love like 100000000 times live. Why? It's a horrible track. I would be totally fine with the Richard Durand remix instead. I'm not trying to micromanage Armin's DJ'ing, but seriously, he is suppose to wow us, but I think I would have had more fun at a Charlie Sheen show. The only reason I went was because I remembered what a sick 5 hour set he played there just 2 years ago (I know he has played longer and probably better sets prior to this but that was the first time I saw him).

Does anyone know what happened to the awesome lights and lasers that used to be in use at trance events at the Roseland? I don't want to watch a bunch of videos of people singing, hearts, and stuff that makes it look like the DJ is floating through some kind of box-like puzzel. This isn't MTV. I just want some lasers!

I used to like Armin. After this experience, I will probably never see him again. I'll leave that to all the rolling idiots who had a blast at this event. There are to many other DJ's who play way more cutting edge stuff for a fraction of the price.
Btw, Zack and Audien were great. It went all downhill from there.

i find it pretty funny to all the people who went to this gig hopeing to hear some good trance, only to be disapointed...what did you just find an old school armin set from 2003 the other day then decide "hey let me check this out"? the guy hassnt played a full on solid trance set in a good 2 years, so why is everyone disapointed?

if you like his new style of vocals/mash-up's and whatever else he is playing then you probly blew your load 3 times over

me personally looking at that tracklist it hurts, knowing the man used to mean so much to the trance scene only to turn his back on it and sell out and play the top 20 beatport songs, but i gave up on him a long time ago

i said it before and i will say it again

I was kicking myself for not planning ahead and taking off work for this. After seeing this tracklist I have few regrets about not going. I think that Armin is limited to what he can play when a set is broadcasted live. That's probably why it was so bad.

i think you are giving him too much credit. its just time to accept the fact that this is what he plays nowadays. He produced half the songs in the set so why does it surprise anyone. He, like the rest of trance it seems like, has gone in a new direction. i dont hate him for it but i dont have to enjoy it.

oh please. the last 2 hours (which wasn't recorded) isn't any better than the first two. but let's blame tiesto for trance dying even though he doesn't label his as trance like armin does.

Some of TAs think Armin is becoming a second Tiesto. What do you guys think? I read the review of Tiesto and saw the tracklist. He played most of his own tracks in his set. It was like playing from Itunes. I think Armin is doing the same think?

its just flat out sad 'the state of trance' is in now

ole schoolers on here know the truth.....
