| Meh, I'd go out of my way not to watch it if anything. Could care less what 2 born rich/famous people do when there's millions of people working their ass off to make the world a better place to live every day. |

This is what I've been telling people. They're just two human beings. I don't understand why people are making bets and camping out for days and going crazy like its the biggest event of their pathetic lives... ugh. |

If she wants to ensure that she just needs to sit pretty, smile at the camera, and do nothing that involves using her power to better hurting parts of the world. She does anything massively good and I guarantee she'll be having cocktails with people like JFK and Diana sooner than later...

We do understand, just don't agree with it. I mean there's probly some 50 year old guy in Saudi Arabia saying the same thing to a 20 year old youth who says a girl shouldn't be publicly stoned for being alone with males. It comes down to rationality. If it doesn't make sense, then eff it let's move on. |

History and tradition are all well and fine when they have some significance. As GGM said, there are millions of normal people making a bigger impact on the world than two people that society has determined to be "royalty" and worships simply because of their bloodline and wealth. Those are the people that should be celebrated.
Our ties to Britain and participation in anything Commonwealth-related are so unbelievably minimal these days that I find it hard to give much of a about what goes on over there. I'm sure they're lovely people and the citizens of the UK will be quite happy, but for Canadians, this doesn't affect us. We've grown up as a country and don't need Great Britain as a babysitter anymore.

It's fine by me that people get enjoyment out of it though. I mean we all pay good money to get entertained by sports and at the end of the day they don't really contain anything much more meaningful than this bs. |
