And while I think the coverage and analysis is over-the-top and silly, it'd be hypocritical of me to chide those who enjoy all of it seeing as I'm a huge sports fan, and sports are more or less a sensational news story detracting from more pressing issues as well. Sports are similarly a celebration of what humans can achieve. |

A massive boost of unity for a country saddled with recession aftermath, many troops still engaged in war, high alert for terrorism and immoral sensationalism surrounding our favourite public figures, footballers.
A real life fairy tale to give hope and some lustre to a tough few years. Some decent, moral (assuming they both don't start ing around) young people for kids to look up to and a hope that when William is our king, he will increase the positive profile of the Royal Family like his mother started decades ago.
I didn't realise you were all such grumps on here, wait, actually I did. |
