Anyways, AMAZING set. I almost died when he dropped Nalin and Kane, i was like: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: Wow. Best Markus set of all time in my experiences with him ;) He may be bumped to my coveted number #2 1/2 position of top DJ's ;) ;) I think he understands what New Yorkers want, and he gave it to us!!

Tons of shenanigans and amazing times with friends. Got home so late (early?) that I had my morning coffee at about 6pm today LOLOLOL WTF!!!! Also like the random limo ride to the after party, wtf!!!! THe dude driving had a hairy chest and a massive gold chain, soooo sexy and classy!!! LOLOLOLOL :) :) :) Nice meeting new TA's: please remind me of who you are because I remember real names as opposed to TA names (??) lol ;) :)

Negative note: Pacha VIP was a fuking nightmare, I have never ever had problems with their service until now. They need to get a grip: if you have 20 people paying you for bottles (especially repeat customers) you need to MAKE SURE goes well, lest we not be spending our money there again.

WAY too overcrowded, didnt get what was promised to us, we got 20 ppl crammed into 2 tables after being promised a whole row (WTF!!), prices are higher than usual, totally disorganized, rude to my friends (thankfully I wasnt there for that or they would have gotten an earful considering how much money we spend there), etc....

Also, I understand that they are trying to make money, but with the amount of people they had up there, they completely took away from the "VIP experience" because they crammed 20 people at each table up there just to get as much loot as possible. I pretty much pay to be up there NOT to be crammed, so if that happens again, I will certainly not mind paying $25 to be crammed on the floor instead. Some people from our table actually LEFT VIP to go to the dancefloor because it was so rammed.

Seriously, Pacha, get it together.

Ok overall I was a little diasppointed. Maybe I wasn't in the mood? Maybe it was Pacha?

This was my third time seeing Markus.

First time was at EZoo in '09, where I've only heard his name muttered a few times randomly before that but never heard his music. BLEW ME AWAY.

Second time was at EZoo in '10, where I was already really into his stuff. Kicked my ass again!

This time, at Pacha, I really didnt enjoy it for some reason except for SOME parts

I walked in at about 1:10am. WTF WAS THAT TRACK HE PLAYED WHEN ALL THE FOAM CAME ON AND IT WAS JUST PURE PANDEMONIUM?! It was at about 1:20am maybe? After that, there was a kyau & albert track I was sure he played a little later which I really enjoyed! But honestly, that was about it :(

I ended up leaving at 3:50am, which, after reading other's reviews, sounds like a big mistake. Did it get much much better after 4:00am? I was hoping for "trancier" stuff from him.... i would DIED to hear him play rank 1 - breathing!!!!!

I mean, maybe I just caught the worse half of his set, or maybe I just realllllly didn't like Pacha (my first time there). Oh well.

it's pacha man....trust me, it's pacha.
that place is a pit of despair.
if it weren't for markus laying down some really fantastic stuff i would've had an AWFUL night. loll
i had a great time tho

at one point early on in his set I was wandering around, stood somewhere by the back, and was just getting manhandled by people cruising past me. this guy nearby recognized that and was like "i ing hate this place. worst club..." so i got to talking to him a bit and he turned out to be a TA dj&producer. I don't know why but I can't remember who exactly. He introduced me to his friend, another nyta, so that was cool. didn't see any of you others tho :p

Didn't I tell you before that meetups where impossible at Pacha since people don't leave VIP LOL. I don't blame them though.

Thats a shame. I was on the dance floor the whole night and I really didn't have too much of a problem, though one tough guy looked like he wanted to start a fight after I told him "easy" when he almost knocked me over. I also heard there was a nasty fight in the corner to the right of the DJ booth (Markus' left) and security did nothing about it. I don't get it? :conf:

Its a shame so much bull goes on there, but I guess its just the type of crowd that place attracts. I was so happy it was a five hour set because:

#1 - More Markus is always better!
#2 - After about 330-400 it really thinned out and got a lot more comfortable on the dance floor.

On a side note, I dislike the ticket provider. I brought what I 'thought' was my ticket and apparently, it was just the receipt? I guess the ticket was mailed separately and I didn't realize it. Fortunately, I went around to the front of the club to buy another and bumped into two DJ's who were spinning downstairs and selling tickets for $20. I guess they had to sell a certain amount so they could play there or something. Either way, it worked, I got in without issue, and had an awesome time.

I wish everyone would just use email tickets... I just bought tickets for Tyas and Eco and they are both 'will call'. To ship Tyas tickets wouldve cost an extra $12. Guess the economy is really taking a toll on the nightclub life...

I was near the fight. It was like 10 asians vs 2 white dudes. Not sure what triggered the fight. One of the white dudes was full of blood. Security took him out and then they came back looking for people with blood on their hands. I don't know if they found them tho. Hate when 5 people are beating 1 guy. Wonder what the white guy did to get his ass kicked.

moral of the story: dont with the asians. they pretty much have residency on that right side of the dj booth. that white guy swam a bit too close to the deep end. i saw him outside drenched in blood sitting in front of a uhaul with an ice pack. felt bad for the guy

did anyone else see those cops put out guns on the honda accord full of asians? they couldve been the culprits i assumed.

I almost went to this, but, as I had not bought the ticket in advance, I did not feel comfortable paying the $40. I know its Markus, but it's also Pacha, and I did not feel putting up with the rude elements of the usual crowd that night. I really hate overcrowdedness especially when great tunes come on. Damn, even VIP was overcrowded?! And hearing how it hapepned, I do hope they get their act together. Hearing about that fight upsets me, since I tend to hang out by that area, especially when the clubs starts getting packed.
