For all the negative nancys in this thread complaining about how bad pacha is, answer me this. When was the last time you were actually there?

Sasha last month was on point, I noticed that they added a new cooling system and another bar in the back of the club which seemed to break up the overcrowding that was occurring at the main bar. They also did a full revamp of the sound and lighting system. The crowd seems to of gotten better too, clubbers at Hernan and Sasha all seemed to be very friendly. Years back people on here used to say the same bad things about Exit, but those same people were just partying at exit aka Ikon a few months back and having the time of there lives (no pun intended :wtf: ). Any club is what you make of it, if it's filled for the most part with quality people then the night should go down smoothly.

+1

Miami 05 is by far one of the best mix cds of all time

Disc 2 alone is a banger

I thought Ibiza 06 was one of the most boring albums of all time

I'll be there. I wonder if free tickets are available for the "mailing list" that I've joined 16 times now.

Also, the "I H8 PACHA" thing is getting a little out of hand. Yes, it's one of my least favorite clubs in the area. But not seeing an amazing DJ that's coming to the area just because he's spinning at Pacha is a bit silly, it's not THAT bad of a place.

One person says I don't like Pacha, the next person says I hate Pacha, the next person says I'll never go to Pacha again, and then all of a sudden it's cool to hate the club when in reality, it's not THAT bad.

been to Pacha a dozen times or so, never had a bad time, crowd is def dependent on the DJ... been there for some sketchy times lol halloween at 10 am for Victor or Boris or some , so man weirdos... but last year at Markus and then again for Trance Takeover was absolutely rediculous... the sound system is on point, much better than a few years ago and YES the new AC is insane, you cant stand in the middle of the dance floor for too long or you'll get hypothermia lol unless of course your dancing your ass off :haha: :haha: :haha:

Still have great memories of last year's event with Markus and Zack. Here's a video we made last year from that night:

Looking forward to hearing what Markus brings this time around.

I dont mind Pacha. Not my fav place in the world, but its workable. One thing though, is that there has been a bar in the back of Pacha for the longest. Def not a new thing. Also, what the other guy said: Pacha crowd is really dependent on the DJ's. Surely Sasha and Hernan are going to bring out a better crowd than Guetta or JP. (This is assuming most people use the term "better" in regards to avoiding under-agers, meatheads and crackheads....)

even if your danceing your ass off you still freeze lmao
i remember over the summer i was there like a week after they installed it i said to my self "wtf its madddd cold in here" ha ha

that alone has a good deal with being uncomfortable with it being too packed so i give pacha credit for that

crowd wise, i feel pacha's regular crowd is def alot more younger and not as educated and open music wise, its just people who go to the club week after week cause its the biggest and hottest club in the city, back when crobar was open the crowd was alot more older and more chill for the most part

i also agree on who's spinning and the crowd they attract...last year for markus it was packed but the crowd was really good same for sasha and calderone last month
but for the majority of thanksgiving eve it was a distaster...just young rude drunk idiots but thats a big clubbing night so that was kind of expected

hopefully the crowd will be more music driven for this gig

to the people who actually DO like Pacha - how old are you? 17/18 or a FOB?:haha:

I'm much older and have seen Markus way more and in much better venues. The only way I would go is if I have VIP but I don't drink so buying a bottle - aint gonna happen.

Yes, I can live without seeing him in a ty fuking club because that is what it is - a ty fuking club. I've been living here for 4 years - I did not go to all these clubs you guys talk about but I know that since I stepped foot in that club 4 years ago for Ferry, I've been hating it ever since.

:)

I can't stand people who have to open their fuking mouth just because they dont agree with something someone else said on the board or try to prove someone wrong. I can say my opinion. It is my opinion of the club and I am not saying it to get an Anti Pacha crowd discussion going.

edit// had to include the fob part because ppl got butt hurt.

Indeed. Fun ass night. :) I had as much fun down in the basement that night as I did on the main floor.

Actually though...on the topic of Markus' set that sight. I recall is was just so dark and driving, all night. No fluff at all really. He's really one of the rare trance djs, IMO, that has the ability to completely surprise a crowd.
