Are you saying that ladies and men can't like the same songs?

Quick, make a list of "male" songs, and "female" songs!

To be honest I was honestly surprised people were so nice/helpful with him lol...

I've seen people with a lot more of a clue on here get much worse of an internet lashing for less.

I know but it's not like the guy's plan is bad. It's actually a good idea and he's trying to get more people for the plan. if it sucks it sucks, if not it might actually be fun.

Win List
-Isolated island party in the wilderness
-Sounds like he's got good setup with a generator and speakers, dunno bout lasers in a nature setting but sure why not

Fail List
-Recruiting randoms to attend on a forum for a small party (should be friends and friends of friends only)
-Saying they need DJs but don't want to pay (that works if it's a DJ buddy maybe but if you're soliciting a stranger that's going to cost money)
-Playlist? DJs do that on the fly
-Genre selection (aside from the weird genre mixing during the same set times, closing with oldies, really?)
-Stating they need girls (no guy wants to be at a pickle party and for that matter no girls do either, specially strangers)
-No plans for emergencies (not only is this bad for attendees, it's brutal for the EDM reputation when some bad goes down and it hits the media)
-No toilets (nice cause people love digging a ting hole in the ground beside 30 people while blaring oldies in the background and taking lasers in the eye)
-Last but not least, no gangbang and no drugs. Mandatory for any good time...

Why I don't feel bad for the guy:
-He posts asking for input and then gets all pissed when it happens to be negative (sorry it's not all "wow good job!!" and "omg i MUST go!"
-He cusses out Lisa then asks if WE know of PLUR
-He's gotta be Nick T, only explanation

The internet is predominantly a male thing. Female psyche is different. Basically, Tranceaddict, and the internet in general. Is a SAUSAGE fest. Most women who do spend time online are scary as , and statistically have all sorts of mental issues, and to them, its online addiction, even the ones that look good. If your event does manage to attract some people it will be people with a dangling meat and 2 veg.

Dear friend, with Canada being democratic and all, unlike some countries, yes, we do have the right to "assembly". The trouble is that if someone , god forbid, dies or gets injured during that so-called "assembly" (with it being on your property and all), you will be the guy doing the answering. If you are putting together an event of such capacity (renegade or not), some basic forms of security must be put in place. There must be a sufficient amount of water on site, toilets (even if its a hall in a bush)must be set up, places of garbage disposal, etc. Parties are not all about cool lasers, sound systems and blaring oldies at 6am, you know.

Yeah can go wrong. You can get hit by a bus and die tomorrow. There is risk to everything in life. Want to know what lowers risk? Common sence. There is no drugs.

Well, if you imply that there is a risk to your party (which is not a good marketing tool, btw), I would probably be inclined to remain home and do something more worthwhile with my time. Yes, anyone can get hit by a bus tomorrow and die, but if that bus hits someone at YOUR party, you will be the responsible guy for all the mess. You sure you still want 100 strangers at your event? Think again...

Rob I think it's great that your doing this. Do not listen to any haters on this forum (this forum is FILLLED with these types). None of them are promoters (as you are doing) and wouldn't stick their neck out on the line for anything.

Their opinions in reality mean nothing to the outcome of your event. I think you should aim for a larger audience though and do up some small flyers. Flyer around the Collingwood area, there's tons of girls looking for action around there.

And yes, if you make it a personal event, like a private 'invite only' party, you can avoid the red tape and all that other crap. Do not be concerned about getting sued. Unless there's some shovel or axe hidden in the grass, it will be next to impossible for someone to prove that you were the cause of their stupidity.
