Nah, I've played at parties like this. Expected turnout of 200, 20 show up. You wake up around 11 a.m. to the sound of still-drunk townies doing donuts in the grass in their Trans-Am where the dancefloor was the night before.

It's time to play the music
It's time to light the lights
t's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.
It's time to put on makeup
It's time to dress up right
It's time to raise the curtain on the Muppet Show tonight.
Why do we always come here
I guess we'll never know
It's like a kind of torture
To have to watch the show
And now let's get things started
Why don't you get things started
It's time to get things started
On the most sensational inspirational celebrational Muppetational
This is what we call the Muppet Show!

I use to spin parties up in Sauble Beach every May 24 for 5 years straight....10 years ago.
This happens every weekend dude, you're just trying to create hype for it, fair enough but nothing too original here.
If I were you (speaking from experience) I'd ditch the multiple genres and stick to electronic. You're going to get the drunk rockers who hate the Boom Boom Tisk, and try and start fights or hit on the chicks who just want to get down.
Some of the language you use is hilarious, although you have to admire you're drive to throw a good party. I'll always applaud that.

P.S.: why are you calling it Northern Rush if everyone's going to be stone sober? Northern Don't Rush would be much more appropos.

Exactly.. Unless everyone is open to all genres, you will get bad mix of crowds. Or you might end up only getting a gathering of people who like just hip hop. Do you have 12 hrs of hip hop ready? Or are you going to force people to listen to what you play? If you can't adjust to the crowd accordingly, I suggest not bothering becoming a DJ. You won't gain any followers
