i'm not a hater just a someone who have organized/helped to organize this type of event few times (60 to 80 people) and your event has failure written on it.
and boy are you ever wrong that nobody does this type of thing....
moon goes better with trance than any laser
have you ever played a 12 hour set before ?? even a 6 hour ? if you think you can follow timeframes like these you are foolish :haha: :haha: just wait till you start and get to 3 hour mark especially if you have to deal any organizational things for the party.
Honestly i think your format sucks. it better get 4 djs for 3 hours each in their own style than bother playing a half assed human jukebox |

Exactly.. Unless everyone is open to all genres, you will get bad mix of crowds. Or you might end up only getting a gathering of people who like just hip hop. Do you have 12 hrs of hip hop ready? Or are you going to force people to listen to what you play? If you can't adjust to the crowd accordingly, I suggest not bothering becoming a DJ. You won't gain any followers |
I don't think so, I think it's important for him to have rock (although at first I thought the idea was a tad bizarre). Reason is 'bush people' up north are obsessed with rock. Get a few Canadian rocker girls to go, and they'll invite more and so on. Trust me, rocker girls are amazing. They can be hard to get though if your a House guy, you need to hide your gino-ism, and pose as 'one of them'. Leave the Gucci blazer at home. I suggest you bring two T-shirts. First AC/DC. Wear that while your playing Rock, then disappear into the woods and switch to something more urban for the House/Hip Hop.
I like your spunk Rob. You also sound like a bit of an out of control idiot, but I like that, kind of reminds me of myself in my early twenties. |

| Slow down horsey. Why don't you incorporate other DJs though? There's probably plenty on this site who might be interested. If your promoting yourself, if that's what you desire, do it in the city, not somewhere needing a boat to get to. If your doing this island thing for the party, then incorporate other DJs I say. |
