You're right, it is an opinion that is out there. Nobody has made that argument in this thread though, so in a sense you're just arguing with yourself. That's what everyone has been pointing out. Your argument's straw man (the idea that people believe that carbon emissions are the sole cause of global warming) was never presented in this thread. |

No, you're not the originator. The original argument is the one that is put forth by those who agree with it. What you've done is presented a weak argument that no one else has stated, then proceeded to knock it down (thus, you've set up a strawman).
Those arguing with you have never agreed with the argument you've provided, but have clearly pointed out (and multiple times, I'll add) that no one in the thread (except you, for the express purpose of "debunking" it) has stated the argument you've provided.
