Because accelerating climate change increases the chances of ing ourselves up. The whale-saving argument has its merits, but it's not why governments are acting on this issue.

Oh, a global warming thread, time for me to throw in some random theses:
- There are too many people on this planet
- Baconators and SUVs aren't really ensuring mankind's survival
- The fact that the world temperature have had temperature fluctations earlier doesn't make justifying global warming. It's about how abrupt these fluctations occur. Guess three times why there are turtles swimming between Brazil and Saint Helena Islands.
- Cap'n'trade does not prevent global warming
- Toyota Prius does not prevent global warming. It still consumes gasoline
- Why hasn't anyone taken a piss on the mining industry? From an emission perspective, they're really nasty. Seriously, look up where the essential rare earth metals from wind turbines and computers come from
- Two words: Peak Oil
- I want the good for all animal species, except for cattle creatures, pigs and chickens. They can sincerely go themselves and head straight to the extinct species list without passing "go"
Feel free to bunk all these theses for me.
Another thing.
Tell me, Ms. Piggy, if you can. You have destroyed so much. What is it, exactly, that you have created? Can you name even one thing? I thought not. |

I agree that stupid, uneducated people are annoying when it comes to this subject. Let's however not forget all the idiots that buy into a climate catastrophe hysteria scenario propagated by the media and then derive the most stupid counter-measures. Or, phrased differently, those who use the climate change as an excuse for all sorts of retarded things and those who accept this excuse.
Imho just as bad or even worse than the deny-everything-idiots. |
