you can have the sun and moon candy trance bull.
there is still alot of good trance out there, but the big guys just dont support it, they wanna play the top hits and thats it
there was a day when armin used to support alot of underground stuff
gareth was the same, now its all the same bull...i havent supported any of the big guys in a while and i dont plan on doing so in the future

I've been listening to trance for 15 years... I've seen it change all sorts of ways and I have to say I have no complaints with where it is at now... which is to say a nice blending of house / prog / trance / electro into one tapestry of music.

I am going to see Gareth Emery tomorrow in Kansas City, MO and I am excited, I love some of his productions, Citadel in particular, is one of my favorite tracks right now.
I could give a about Gareth being a "traitor", a "sellout" or whatever the you wanna call him, as long as his set makes me dance and puts a smile on my face, that's all I care about.
I will be having a good time tomorrow night, while you fools will be on this forum discussing if he is a "traitor" or a "sellout"

Gareth Emery has some awesome marketing people working for him, I think his logo is awesome. I thought the Garuda trailer for the event he did last year at the O2 Academy in Leeds was awesome, the song playing is Citadel.

As the other guy said, it's marketing.
Emery has a solid podcast, slick website, etc, etc. He looks after his fans. Sasha, cox, etc. they don't do that.
And at the risk of being stung up by the balls, both those guys are equal in mixing/dj skill to Emery. They really are. The tunes just might not be to your taste, but technically Emery is very good, and his sets flow.
I will say there is a bit too much Tiff Lacey or whatever in his tunes though.
