Bahaha, I love that movie. And that's how I felt when I quit Walmart. Super nice day in April and I kept thinking to myself every time the fresh air came through the opening doors "Do I really want to stay at this soul sucking job all summer??" And decided that I did not, so I walked to the back, swiped out, and told my manager I quit. And she was like "Ohhh you put in your 2 weeks, sorry to hear that." And I was like "No, I quit. Today." And she said "Well you know if you walk out of here you can never work at a Walmart again?"
OH NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I applied for a job at walmart once. I wanted to be the guy that presses the button to open the door for the people that are leaving, but they basically told me that job is for retards and I wasn't retarded enough. |

It wasn't as bad when the economy was good, cause it was mostly part-time teenagers at those types of jobs.
Now, though, those places are full of people who got laid off and it's the only job they can get. It's depressing. |

Oh yeah, I forgot about the "we thought social security would be enough but it totally isn't" crowd. Also depressing. |

| I try to talk to the greeters at wal mart whenever I can because I feel bad. A lot of them are older people who were retired but lost their money in whatever stocks. It is definitely quite sad. |

I love that though. Have a 50 year old guy pack my groceries, and you can say "Hey, sorry to be a pain, but could you triple bag that for me? That box of 'You're never going to retire' has sharp corners, and it always breaks. Thanks" |

| I only shopped at a Wal-Mart once in my life. I was in Alaska and needed soap and shampoo after I forgot I couldn't have it in my carry-on and had to throw it away at security. The whole experience was gross and disgusting. |
