ive seen a lot of confusion over the terms so just to be clear...
umf = ultra music festival (just the festival by itself)
wmc = winter music conference (all the panels and seminars and what used to be include all the big parties)
mmw = miami music week (wmc version 2.0... all the parties + ultra)
mmc = miami music conference (often mislabeled as wmc or mmw, but this is actually what space calls their week of parties and has been doing for years)
also ultra week = mmw
so now that thats cleared up. yes he asked for ultra. on a side note i brought up the ultra/wmc relationship because im curious if wmc will be same week as ultra this year. judging by that flyer though because it says mmw maybe not. |

thought would be nice...and more crowded dont u think? i doubt very many people are coming from far away for both |

Well, if WMC can get a few more shows, it would be awesome if they were separate. But the only show during WMC that I went to was Markus @ Space, which don't get me wrong, I drove all the way down just for it. But it would be nice to hit a couple of other parties too. That's if they are even separate again this year.
I am definitely done with UMF, so I don't care when it is, so if I can go down to Miami and avoid all the children again and just hit up a few parties, that would be so amazing.
BTW, did any litigation stem from UMF breaching contract last year? Or was the whole lack of police argument enough? I imagine it was? |

If you stay at the shelborne you get 4 wristbands for a normal room and you will get 6 wristbands if you get one of the townhomes on the pool |

I'm actually starting to plan things out, nothing set in stone of course, but I know I'm going for sure (barring any major financial setbacks) so I'll keep an eye on this thread.
Are there any specific blogs or things of that nature that can help point me in the right direction in terms of planning? Yes I know I sound like a lazy ass, and I'm going to search google right after I post this, but anything would help.

most sites and blogs relating to wmc/mmw/ultra usually just consist of a big listing of events. while thats a nice resource, its still only a list. and honestly the only list ive ever even liked was last years blog. everything else has always been a cheap ripoff, usually a direct copy/paste from what we gather and put together here.
so everything you could possibly want to know has probably been posted here several different times over the years. what i would suggest is you check out the previous wmc forums and just skim through them. im sure you'll find loads of good information quite easily.

you may not see any threads when you check the links. to fix this, click the drop down menu that says "last 30 days" and change it to "the beginning" and click go.
07, 08, + 09 were the biggest years for our subforum so maybe check those first. last years forum was hella slow. but still with over 50k posts in those forums combined, im sure you can find an answer to any question you may have. dont forget ta has a search function too. ;) but if you still have any other unanswered questions, feel free to throw them in here and im sure you'll get an answer pretty quickly. |

| We are doing the blog again this year, but as Pat said it is based on pretty much on TA's WMC/MMW event thread so just keep looking TA Florida/wmc section and you'll be just fine. |

you guys did a great job though and actually contributed a buttload. all the other sites simply copy/paste. glad to hear its a go again for this year. :) |
