| living alone is fun. i liked having an animal around though. i live with my boyfriend now. he's a little messier than i would like but it's a vast improvement from his college apartment. that place was ing nasty. we have an awesome cat. |

| Yeah, it's best to not get too close to the people you live near, if you're in an apartment. I mean, it's possible you could meet someone great, but really, are the chances in favour of that? More likely, you will meet people who want nothing to do with you - and rightfully so. Have you ever met someone that you only liked just a little bit, but they wanted to hang out all of the time? Imagine they live next door. And are constantly wanting to have a drink or bum a smoke, or wanting you to smoke them out or some . Guhhhh. Yeah, it's best to appear as a hermit. |

| Also, when, inevitably, your music gets too loud, not having any interaction with you prevents your neighbors from feeling comfortable confronting the problem. |

| we had a housewarming party and invited our neighbors and the only neighbor who showed was a 50 yr old gay dude. he let people go to his apartment to smoke cigs (we don't have a balcony) and all my friends found this picture book of penises in his kitchen. |

I couldn't do it, I'd get really lonely. I have a funny thing where I'll happily sit in my room all night listening to music if I know there are people downstairs, but if there's nobody in I'm likely to start feeling glum and lonely doing exactly the same thing. Bizarre, but true. If you're alone you tend to get "social comedown", where you'll come home after a great time and find an empty house.
Also, I like splitting bills and luxury costs and responsibilities with others. It's much nicer if something goes wrong and there are two or three of you to deal with a problem. There've been a lot of problems with our last two houses that happened while I was at work or away, and would have escalated into a massive ing catastrophe very quickly if someone hadn't been there to deal with it. |
