the declaration of independence provides people with exactly all. it's a fancy note. nobody has the "right" to pursue happiness.
australians > americans @ US law. |
i'm coming from a political theory perspective. obviously, none of what we're talking about is legally applicable, because we're talking about illegal activities. the idea behind the declaration of independence is to assert the belief that everyone is entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. i was not suggesting that it grants the legal authority to ensure it.
nou, i've lived in texas for a long time, but i wasn't born here. i love how you keep trying to call me stupid. you may not like me or agree with me but i'm not dumb. i'm educated and i have opinions and i'm simply expressing an idea. a ing idea. not fact, not how things are... how things could be. i don't know why you don't like me, but i do know that you know all about me. pipe the down and be respectful, and i'll respect you. |

I don’t wanna pick on you or anything but to the real theorist it appears on occasion that you’re coming from the dunce perspective.

if that's what you think that's fine. i wasn't aware that TA was such an important scholarly forum. you should be able to state an opinion without the fact check police trying to pick it apart over tedious details. the declaration of independence is one of the documents that helped lay the foundation of our country. i don't think it's unreasonable to cite it in the context of my argument. |
