I think if you 'identify' with being gay then you're gay, if you identify with being straight then you're straight. Because you can come at it from so many angles (touched members of same sex, kissed them, attracted to them, had sex with them, etc).
I don't personally find gender norms too 'rigid', but maybe that's some self-serving bias of mine. Could also be that most people I've met have succeeded in breaking those norms for their own good. :Shrug:

Yeah, but some of them have no outward sign of their sexuality whatsoever yet they won't go out with you and won't even tell you the real reason why not for four ing months, giving you plenty of time to fall in love with them because they haven't come out yet and ING .

Maybe it was easier for them to lie about being gay than admit that you guys were too smart for them. Imo.
