if the US didn't support us the we might be dead by now, since the entire europe hates us or doesn't give a damn about us, other countries across the world are just unpluged, and the arabs are like 100 times bigger than us and probably wouldn't hasitate about attacking...
besides that, if the US didn't take apart of this situation, not that i agree with it's ways, but if it didn't, then nobody would stop iraq back in gulf war to develop mass destruction weapons, and nobody would fund any anti terrorist organizations and so on... |
Thank You. |

again... the same issue that the blodthirsty, flag waving, gun toting, bomb-everything americans don't realize is: a war on terrorism is not a war on IRAQ....

Thank you for that stereotype. Just so we all know you are on the anti-America bandwagon. Thanks again. |

I know its not a 100K, of course. But its salaries, its money, it gets things moving. 260 billion IS HUGE! and that doesn't account all the secret services budgets, etc. I never said that solely soldiers salaries will get things moving. But it helps alot, when people spend, the economy gets better. Its like when you let a little snowball go down the hill, it gets slowly bigger and bigger...
I'll give you an example. In my province, Quebec, the government decided to spend tax payers money to build bridges, roads, etc etc right after the slowdown made by sept 11. It was planned to get things going again. The amount was close to 1.5 billion $ which amount roughly to about 1% of Quebec's economy. Of course construction workers don't make 100K, they do alot less actually, maybe 35-40K. Now the Quebec province is doing alot better than any other province in Canada and better than the US. So imagine a huge increase in military spending by the order of let say 100 billion $ made by the US, this about 1.5~2% of US economy. Can you imagine the benefits? Its really simple economics man...
never heard of that "you gotta spend money to make money"? |
