just say he used a company letter head to solicit donations

the value of the donation is moot point.

it indeed is moot point
but the fact still remains.

Jose Canseco might be just as amusing as Ford as Toronto's mayor

No, the issue is that too many people gave a about the wrong stuff. The very same people who read every article, and every tweet about this, are the same people that don't read about real policy issues. They can talk at length about Ford being a bad mayor, but ask them about the city's books, or recent by-law changes, and they will stare blankly at you, that is until you mention Ford's name, and then they will raise their first in anger.

The public needs to learn about scope.

In the letter of the law, he was wrong. What about the spirit of the law? Take a look at his intent and motives, not the actual actions here. He was originally trying to do good, and made legal mistakes in doing so.

Let's face it, some guy used the dots and lines in a law to remove a mayor he didn't like, not because he 'broke the law and diminished the respect of the office of the mayor and this city'.

been preaching the same points for a long time. Amen brotha.

Ford has to be the single most obstinately thick-headed politician this city has ever seen. Even those in his camp are suggesting that he put and end to his incessant, time-wasting sideshow.

Mayor Rob Ford should give up control of football foundation, says council ally

For Sale: A Video of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford Smoking Crack Cocaine

Rob Ford, Toronto's conservative mayor, is a wild lunatic given to making bizarre racist pronouncements and randomly slapping refrigerator magnets on cars. One reason for this is that he smokes crack cocaine. I know this because I watched him do it, on a videotape. He was ing hiiiiigh. It's for sale if you've got six figures.

It began like this: We've made fun of Ford before for his lunatic pronouncements and nude pictures. Last week, we got a tip from someone claiming to have a videotape of Ford smoking crack. Would we like to buy it?

The tipster made the following claims:

• Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smokes crack cocaine.

• There is a video of Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine, taken within the last six months.

• Rob Ford purchases his crack cocaine from a crew of Toronto drug dealers that service a veritable who's who of A-list...Torontonians? Torontites? Anyway, a lot of prominent people in Toronto purchase and enjoy crack and powder cocaine, and they all buy it from the same folks. The same folks Ford buys it from. Ford's longtime friend, people on his staff, his brother, a prominent hockey analyst, and more.

...rest is in the link.
