As D-res already explained. It makes no sense having evidence for a lack of faith.
It's exactly the same as if someone came up to me and said "There is a dragon living in my garage." In that case it would be perfectly rational for me to say "Prove it, or else i won't believe you." Its not me who has to prove that i don't believe it. That makes absolutely no sense.
Atheism isn't claiming there can be no gods. Its a lack of being convinced by theists claims. |

It's pretty funny, I've said all of these exact same things in about 999999999 atheism threads in the past, and it always elicits the same reactions out of everyone.
Pretty effective at illustrating my point that atheists are unwaveringly obnoxious and simply can't let other people just believe what they want to believe. Even when I pointed out that I don't disagree with atheism, just the mere suggestion that it might be incorrect is enough to make some of you react like I just called your mother a whore.

The main point is that a lot of atheists don't even understand what atheism is. Look at Nou. He's not saying that there is no evidence to suggest that god exists, he's saying god does not exist, and that anyone who believes in god is stupid. This is that sickeningly obnoxious attitude that seems to be a prerequisite for many atheists' beliefs.
Just as much as there is no evidence to support the existence of any deity, there is equally little evidence to support the opposite. Take the big bang for instance. Countless scientists believe the universe began with an infinite amount of mass in an infinitely small area reaching a cataclysmic event which gave rise to the expanding universe we see today, but where did that mass come from? Granted, science may very well discover the origin of that, but we have the inhibition of being inside the experiment, which makes that incredibly difficult.
Regardless, this topic is repeated ad nauseam, and is just about as annoying as threads about deadmau5. |

I wonder if the atheists here would be so intolerant of the views of different religions. It seems as if the only ones ever used to support their cases are the views of radical southern Christians.
Spirituality and science aren't as mutually exclusive as atheists tend to make them out to be. I suggest reading this, for anyone who thinks the worlds of science and religion (not christianity) can coexist.
