I would say that John '00' Fleming is the most famous DJ that is current true to trance (not the cheesy one).

Christopher Lawrence, Orkidea, Airwave, Solar Stone are others famous DJs that I could think of.

But there are some great producers out there releasing some good trance tracks. One of my current favorites is CJ Art, who plays/produces a mix of deep/tribal/progressive house/trance.

Orkidea is just one guy, he's got a new album out right now. I saw him play a DJ set last month and he's one of the only guys still doing the melodic, uplifting trance sound in an interesting way.

I've never actually listened to a set of his till now. Still has his sound from back in the day. I even heard a few classic tracks (sounds like a recent remix) thown in here and there. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for reminding me of Orkidea, I haven't heard of them since Oakenfold was playing thier remixes in '99.

What are they doing these day? Radio shows, DJ gigs, productions?

He has a monthly show on Afterhours called Radio Unity, it's the best show there in my opinion. Also, check his guestmix for Global Trance Grooves, it's really awesome.

This is his last single (featured on his album too), awesome trance if you aks me :)

Speaking of Solarstone, himself and Orkidea are making some music together and remixing each other, personally i think this is good Trance too:

Yeah, Jaytech is another one who still does the uplifting sound very well, but his sets are quite slow with a lot of electro-house influences. I couldn't say he is "true to trance" because his sound is very much a hybrid.

Oliver Lieb? I thought he stopped playing trance and now is focusing on techno tracks/sets.

his cream set was trancey but i think he know produces techno, i think he had a release on bedrock recently. Lieb on the same list as Askew but there are not many people who still play trance, Askew now plays soft psy that it's not that bad, haven't seen him live but people say he delivers.

Came in here thinking that this thread was about the TTT radio show series originally started by Dj Precision from like 03-06....man that guy was on point with his trance! and then I think the series was taken over by other artists like Ronski, Simon Patt, etc unless they just highjacked the name (could be wrong lol)

Anyway.... when I think "true to trance" I think of DJ precision (even though he is not currently DJing...not sure why)

The only reason his Cream set was trancy is that it was Cream (reunion, no?). Anyway I'm sure if you booked him to play at your party next month he'd be playing tech house and techno.

It was a classic trance set by Oliver Lieb, not his new stuff.
