Ya your not the only one to mention oakie. I lost interest after the billionth 80 remix, but I'll have to take another look. He was one of my favorite DJ and I still turn on those 99 world tour essential mixes now and then. |

Hey all,
I dont think it's a very good idea to share my point of view, but oh well!
I have to be honest with you all, the last few years saw me completely losing my passion and interest for "trance" and it's sub genres.
In fact many of you might have noticed that I stopped releasing stuff for months with sporadic releases and remixes eventually coming up.
Fortunately enough J00F brought my interest back. On the other hand the guys from mistique, MSZ,CJ art, Ben suffused, kayd, hypnotic duo, Dsp, aggressor, ivan nikusev, loquai, Mateo, and all the others showed me the truth. Kintar proved me wrong.
Trance isn't dead at all. But...
Trance as it is called today has mostly nothing to do with what got me into it. That's normal, I was utilized by some of those trance superstars who completely rule the scene today, and people with this kind of mentality aim at only one thing: money, fame, trophies.
Just like many others disappeared, we feel frustrated, jilted, abused.
I think you got my point. True Trance strikes back. But forget those muppets around, just focus on the music. |

wow man your dead on
me and fellow friends feel the same way about the scene overall
producer's just put out generic pop sounding stuff now
and when the big dj's come play all they spin is the hits/mash-ups/vocals etc etc the stuff that gives trance a bad name
but yet if someone who keeps it real like j00f were to show up to a club only 50 people would probly go see him yet armin, gareth, above & beyond etc etc sell out arena's on playing not even trance music but this new pop bull
i wish you all the best airwave on one day makeing a strong comeback to the trance scene
you are def one of the godfathers of trance music
hero's get remembered...but legends never die :) |
