He couldn't have came to the city at a better time. Going to a company social event to load up on free booze and food before going to Pacha haha. It's going to be a long night!

The beginning of his set was more big room trance and I was a little concerned, but as the night went on he got progressively darker and techier. It was a great night overall. There was room to dance in Pacha it was a miracle. Good friends, good times. And he said he's coming back later this year :)

omg when he dropped PPK I almost DIED. Wow. :D :D :D Rank 1: . I lost my marbles :)

Markus was bangin from start to finish! I loved every second of it. He is so great live: I like him more and more every time. I actually really enjoyed the variety, in that he played trance AND got deeper and darker at times. Its better than hearing the same sound for 6 hours! It was a long set with a good mix. The crowd was eating it up! Markus looks like he is just having fun on the decks, and is funny and personable on top of that. His energy is contagious, I was still dancing hard at 6am, with no thoughts of slowing down! :)

So many friends out, wow! It was overwhelming seeing everyone and trying to catch up with everyone. The time just flew by, I was having such a great time :tongue2 :tongue2 :tongue2 Got to see friends from Boston, Texas, Miami, Philly, CT and every borough in NYC...wow! Markus brings out the crew! :D :D Markus dropping bombs and the plethora of awesome peeps made the negatives of the night (almost) seem minor after all was said and done. That being said, the negatives NEED to be discussed.

Negatives: YOU WILL NOT SEE ME SPENDING MY MONEY IN PACHA VIP AGAIN!!

Quote it. Unless I am STUCK watching Ferry there or GOD himself is spinning, I will not do it. I will stick to the techno parties elsewhere and catch Markus or whoever in Toronto or DC or WHEREVER in NYC, just not at Pacha.

I have probably gotten 50 tables at this f*cking place and it just keeps getting worse and worse. First of all, wtf, the prices are absurd now. And TRUST ME when I say, I can afford it, but I am also a reasonable human being. The trends of clubbing at such absurd prices ($800 for Grey Goose now, eh?) is really disturbing and its just not for me anymore. I miss even the days of a few years ago when you could drop $20 on a GA ticket or $150 total on VIP and call it a night! That being said, the prices were the least of my worries:

The Pacha VIP staff has always been pretty awesome to both myself and whomever I choose bring with me. I have a nice relationship with some of them, and most have been nothing but accommodating with friendly and familiar attitudes.

But please, someone direct that OLD ASS dude, standing at the DJ booth, acting like he is a Black Jesus, to this goddamn thread!! A woman who I recognize as a VIP worker there, actually came over to apologize to me, because apparently "People were pissing him off and he thought I was someone else who was causing him issues throughout the night." The female worker was aware of the mistake, but dude was rude for no reason whatsoever, and COULD HAVE been more pleasant upon recognizing the mistake, but chose to be a dick regardless. Thats what REALLY pissed me off. Yes, you are allowed to make mistakes, but if you continue your c*nt-attitude AFTER you realize its a mistake, that is where your problem lies. Not the VIP lady's fault, but certainly this tard needs to get his attitude checked. Listen: I pay for a lot of tables, a lot of liquor, I dont cause problems, dont start fights, dont go up there and use drugs all night in the bathroom, have good relationships with the staff there, and I am certainly not one of those groupies who rides the dick of whatever DJ happens to be in the booth that weekend. So please tell me how I can get a group of decent individuals to CONSISTENTLY come in, drop a lot of money, just to get the attitude of some 50 year old ugly homo on a power trip? I seriously dont give a f*ck who I piss off by saying any of this because it is seriously unnecessary.

To top everything off, I go down to the VIP Coat check at the end of the night. There is ONE person in line, in front of me. No one behind me. As I am waiting for the person in front of me to get their coat, I see a Pacha worker take the remaining ~10 coats left in coat check right past me. When I reach the counter a mere 30 seconds later, the worker tells me "Oh we just took all of the coats to the main coat check, please go there." Are you ing kidding me? Did you not see that there was ONE person in line? At what point could you not have looked through the 8-10 remaining coats and said "Hey, why dont I get this last woman her coat instead of making her stand in 30 minutes of hell at the regular coat check?" And thats exactly what it was. By the time I got to regular coat check the club had cleared out and everyone and their mother was in line, pushing, shoving, drunk or high as hell. The line took about 30 minutes, a dude on too many drugs was passing out on top of me and waving his glow-in-the-dark gloves in my face because he THOUGHT I would like that. lol wow.

SO I guess paying $2300 gets you: attitude from misinformed staff, 4-5 drinks at about ~$50 a pop, and standing in long, unnecessary, lines. Sounds like VIP to me!

Ummmm....NO THANKS.
