Highlight of the night for me as well!!!!

Highlight for me was def the last couple of tracks of the night. I mean, Nifra - Dark Harbour, HUGE track live. Gotta give a mention to Bolandish as well, pretty sweet afterhours track.

SO I guess paying $2300 gets you: attitude from misinformed staff, 4-5 drinks at about ~$50 a pop, and standing in long, unnecessary, lines. Sounds like VIP to me!

Ummmm....NO THANKS.

I was thinking about getting a table for this cause Markus is God and it was my birthday weekend. But! fortunately my friend got free VIP for us (contest, how convenient! lol) so we lucked out. i went up there around 4 or 5 i think it was shortly before we left. i couldn't keep myself up anymore so i was annoyingly sitting in the middle of the 2 couches put together minding my own business. . . throughout the time sitting there i was in serious awe at how much of a douche bag the person next to me who bought his "area" was. He was right next to the stairs by the booth on the left hand side facing down. drunkenly smashing into everyone , not apologizing, and telling everyone who got in his "way" to Go Away and Watch out. People seriously let these kind of 'people' (and i say that loosely, cause he was more like an animal) in their establishments?! holy hell.

Markus is one of the few trance guys I want to see anymore but I've had too many experiences like above at Pacha where I won't even see my favorite trance DJ there anymore because I know it will be a big tease as I always end up going home with a horrible distain for everything that took place at Pacha, always. VIP ed us last time too with basically no drinks and dick staff. Hearing people get flagged and searched randomly makes me believe we should ALL stop going, make our friends stop going and maybe people like Markus will play a decent venue. (IANAL but pretty sure this counts as illegal detainment no matter what kind of "agreement" you make upon entering private property, you can't override constitutional rights in a contract).

Yea, I wish we could (seriously) start some sort of TA petition, and collect as many signatures and send them to Markus so as to hopefully persuade him NOT to spin there, ever again. I've missed him last year and this year because, (both times coming down to a last minute decision)I have gone through too much personally with this place, and have seen people on here go through alot of disrespectful nonsesne, as well. I want to support Markus and others like him, but attending a certain venue like Pacha with its invariable problems, whether with some of the crowd or some of the staff, or any other factor, just results in the production of some bad vibes that can consequently ruin your own vibe, and, therefore, the full enjoyment of the music.

Glad to see I'm not the only one getting disgusted with Pacha. It's like trench warfare on the dance floor. Last year when I saw Markus, the crowd thinned out pretty well by 230-300. I had to leave at 400 but that place was still packed then and I hear it stayed packed until he closed.

Someone needs to start booking these DJs somewhere other than Pacha.

AGREED - Dark Harbour at almost 6 AM was absolutely AMAZING. The whole night in general was unbelievable from start to finish. Markus destroyed that place. And the club really wasn't that packed at all. I've been in there for much worse. The sound was on point the whole night. Overall awesome night of music. Happy he said he's going to come back and play here more this year.

Where else are you going to put Markus? I think the sound and space fit him perfect....I can't think of one club that has a system good or big enough to handle him and have enough space for the crowd....it really was not bad at all I was on the main floor the whole time and had plenty of room to dance back by the ATM...

was going to add to the tracklist but you people on the whole apparently had a miserable time so no soup for you

setrise is just quality music across the board :P

personally had a great time at pacha, played 12-2 in the basement and stuck around till 330 or so and markus was killing it. looks like i missed a few familiar faces out and about

Um, anywhere. What a dumb statement. There are plenty of venues you could have him at. And he's an afternoon flight away being a Miami native, you could always book him on a weekday at a venue like Cielo. They do it all the time with DJs just a big. If you think Pacha represents the top of sound quality you need to get out more.

Markus at Cielo would be a wet dream. Though they pack that place out pretty hard sometimes.

Cielo is sooo tiny though.. not that i mind a tiny space, but wouldnt they have to stack it 3 people high for it to make $ sense?

how about d36? not that im a huge fan of that place either.

I actually like D36, and would like to see more trance bookings there to be honest. I doubt they could handle some of the very big names, just due to the size of the building, but definitely some mid-tier guys.
