He's gotten used to people giving it to him, that's for sure. Oh well, life is hard ;)

The thing is, when you aim too high and overestimate yourself you fall badly. He's feeding an ego that he cannot handle. He doesn't understand his value here.

His role here is nothing more than a hopping clown 'who servers' the purpose of entertaining a place which otherwise would be quite boring. He basically isn't even aware of being functional to a false image he tries to project by illuding himself that it "actually work". "It may" for the average naive passant, but not for navigated people.

Anyway, I find him funny. I guess we cannot expect more.

Big fish, small pond syndrome. He seems to think his abilities grant him the authority to treat people like . And like you say, his ego isn't up to the task. I think he was the red headed stepchild that got his ass kicked by the girls in the class and now he's 'gonna show us all'.

But he is funny at times in a hilarious/pathetic sorta way.

And I kind of like him, but there is the limit and my problem with him is he doesn't know where that limit is.

Cheers

I have total respect for his knowledge and I love reading his serious posts. I've learned a ton from them. I agree, he hasn't a clue where reasonable limits are though. It's too bad. It's not THAT hard to be obnoxious AND likeable as well. But man, enough already.

You don't seem to notice the pattern,

I won't deny I have insulted people but it always starts off with me telling them , they are wrong. Then they get mad and start to be aggressive and I am just too happy to oblige and bitch slap some common sense into your melon.

Every time i have to insult people, it is because they are being idiotic and i am frustrated. Every time. If you have been insulted, you are being an idiot. I am a canary in that sense. THere are people here I have never once said anything bad. They tend to be non retarded. IT isn't a coincidence. I am not an equal opportunist disturber. I pick on the idiots, the ones that deserve a kick in the ass.
Normie
But that's the thing. You don't slap anything into anyone. You just act like an ass and we all laugh about you in PMs for the LuLz.

Have you made a career out of just trying to piss people off? I'm curious. Me personally, you aren't capable of actually upsetting. Been at this too long and been ripped into by the best. I just don't get why you don't put that ego of yours to good use. It's obvious you consider TA your personal stress relief and members here your personal punching bags. It's that most are afraid to hit back. I'm not. Nor do I care what you think of me, 'Mercans, rednecks et all.

So here's your chance for a group hug Cloon. Fess up. Let be buds.

And you don't even release that you are one of them.

Studio one has better FX overall.

From Reaper or Ableton?

Cheers

Normie
Not familiar with SO. Reaper's FX are pretty basic 'looking'. But they are incredibly powerful. Reacomp is easily on par with Waves stuff from what a lot of the Reaper board guys that have both say. Not better, just up there quality wise. The EQ, Gate and other core fx are pretty good too. A lot of the JS fx are specialized but great at their niches.

If you want a loaded DAW with big synths etc, then there are better choices for sure. But if you have a vst library already than it's worth a look. If you strip the FX and just judge it as a DAW, it's just as 'pro' as logic/PT etc.

But no, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

The DAW does look pretty good and cheap too, and it also looks cheap too.

Call me superficial, but I like the look of Studio One more.

The things I like so far about studio one:

EQ is integrated with a very nice spectral analyzer. This is a big plus when Ableton doesn't come with one and I had to put an analyzer on every channel.

Automation works flawlessly

Can edit automation in the piano roll

Can view two midi files in the piano roll at once(god send for writing multitimbral chord progressions)

Things I do not like:

Recording automation, setting up side chains, and a few other things take longer to do
