Imho Löw should take some of the blame for Germany losing. Before the game I considered it to be 50-50 odds, but when I saw the starting formation I told my friends we're down to 40-60. Podolski has been terrible in all his recent games and should never have started. Schweinsteiger is not quite fit and should have been replaced by Kroos (or maybe Bender), instead Kroos was added to create a weird tactical formation that was never used before. To make it worse, that also broke up our offense: Müller was taken out. He had done a good job in supporting Boateng defensively on the right wing, Özil found himself in that position and worked neither for the defense nor the offense.
It was just too daring and not established enough to try in a semi-final against a good opponent.
Then again, Balotelli is so hilarious, I can't even be mad. :stongue: |

| Great performance by Spain, too bad they got to 2-0 this early, really killed the rest of the game. Wonderful passes by Xavi and Iniesta. Pirlo was nowhere to be seen this time, too bad. |

Complete ing tour de force by Spain. That passing was nothing short of sublime.
Italy even played OK until towards the end, but the Spaniards were just too sharp and kept ripping that defense apart. Italy just looked tired compared to spain. |
