Maybe they'll be able to put something together this year when the expectations are so low already to begin with? |
Brilliant!
Shameless copy/paste/translate onto my own wall :) |

Schweini isn't a crazy-bastard but don't you think him capable of pushing everyone to play better?? I even think of Muller as being someone who (certainly not now, but in the future) will fill that role. |
Not really. There's this scene where Kahn attacks one of his midfielders after playing a bad pass and shakes him in a way that would surely be a red card with an opponent. I could never imagine Schweinsteiger or Lahm doing that. Now I don't think players should behave like that, but you need one guy that radiates this unbreakable will to win and takes responsibility. Germany used to have players like that (which imho is one factor that made us usually win in penalties). Müller has the right attitude, but I expect him to stay the nice and funny guy, at best taking a role like Schweinsteiger.
Maybe I'm asking for too much aggressiveness, but this team of nice-guys needs a kick in the butt. |

France looks promising. with a polished defensive line they can take this as far as they want
England looked solid too considering they were missing a top player. |

I'm supporting the team with the blue and yellow flag.
You know, the one with the most blondes among the supporters :) |

Come on, many people including me think it's much better now with a German team which is a pleasure to watch with good and attractive football and technical players compared to the "Step on the field against Germany for 90 minutes and at the end Germany wins" like in the past.
But we also miss someone like Jaap Stam, who gave the impression that he would eat the opponent alive if he got to near (or someone of his own team).
IMO aggressiveness in general nowadays won't bring results any more.
I know many people who put Germany as favorite and not because of an attitude but because of good play.
I think most Germans nowadays also want to see good play of their Mannschaft and not just a good result. |

YES!!
So happy for Ukraine to hang on for that win.
Wasn't a great technical match, but they had great energy and Shevchenko was all class. |
