| i'm about to go from a place that is the most taxed jurisdiction in North America to a place that i won't have to pay a plug nickel. Believe it or not Canada will try and make you pay taxes on money made abroad if you stay less than 6 months. them. |

In some parts of the state sales tax is close to 10%. I spent 1200$ on building supplies last weekend, and that was easily over 100$ in local/state tax revenue in two days, which is far more than I have ever paid in federal income tax because of the income I was making when I was working.
So tell me how that is any less of paying taxes (and in my opinion its better than paying federal income tax, because a majority of federal income tax paid in WA doesn't come back to WA in federal aide, it goes to ty states like the ones in the Gulf Coast). |

when you pay 16 cents on the dollar in sales tax, it becomes annoying when you buy something like let's say...a car. Our money is worth the same, but a car is 35% more here than state side.Same thing for almost any big ticket item you can think of, including flying Where I'm going i can hire a cleaning lady for 10 bucks a month. |

Thats not retarded, what if you work someplace 5 months of the year and make all your money for the year there and then come back and live in Canada for the other 7 months? Should you not have to contribute money to support the infrastructure that you use for those 7 months, or that your family might use for that time? :conf: |
