No state tax in Florida. I probably take that for granted.
It's one of the few perks of living down here. |
You realize you'd have a lot more ing perks if you guys paid taxes right? |

You're a ing moron and missed the point entirely (which is par for the course for you Hal). I was stating that paying sales tax is paying tax, in fact its a fairly regressive tax system in that it is not based on income and disproportionately affects people of lower income because they pay the same rate on goods that people who make a lot more than they do pay as well. |

Florida wages are too low to impose state taxes.
Raise the wages, then you can tax the people. |

i'm going to be famous for being the first ever case of avian hpv.
@nou...the funny thing is, if you stay one day more you don't pay a dime. When coming back you are not eligible for medicare services or government aid for the first 6 months upon your return meaning that i would use 0 services even if i needed them.
You also get double taxed like i was with some of my earnings in south korea. It wasn't so bad because i only paid roughly 2% there which is nothing compared to the salries and standard of living offered.
My lifestyle is more expensive here, more heavily taxed, and i have to work way more to make way less. The good thing is it is hard for them to pinpoint how much you made, unless you are a total idiot and just tranfer liquid vs holding it over in investments (like oil...smartest thing i've ever done.). |

So tell me how that is any less of paying taxes (and in my opinion its better than paying federal income tax, because a majority of federal income tax paid in WA doesn't come back to WA in federal aide, it goes to ty states like the ones in the Gulf Coast). |
The merit is the same so I respect it, but it's not like you're dropping 4g's on income taxes like grown ups. |

If I was making an income where I had to pay 4 grand in income taxes I wouldn't even blink an eye, and I'd honestly complain it wasn't enough. |

I am glad that you have acknowledged yourself as a grade B pump. Not even good enough to be grade A, but damn Russell, I am sure you can become even tier, I know you have it in you! :gsmile: |

...and license fees, business taxes, etc. Also don't forget that unemployment is taxed income as well.
In some parts of the state sales tax is close to 10%. I spent 1200$ on building supplies last weekend, and that was easily over 100$ in local/state tax revenue in two days, which is far more than I have ever paid in federal income tax because of the income I was making when I was working.

you do realize different taxes go to different things, right ;) sales tax goes somewhere completely different then income tax |
