Well obviously Nou's state provides for Florida (among other Gulf Coast states), and since he paid like $200 in taxes last weekend, he totally supports you guys. No need to thank him; philanthropy is in itself the very engine for his success!

There are numerous examples I could give of people in the US either choosing to not go to a doctor or wait till a medical situation is so bad that they have to go to the emergency room because the cost of getting even basic preventive treatment will be too much.
A broken arm/leg in this country can put someone into debt that they will have a very hard time escaping from if they do not have health insurance.
Also government assistance is pretty bad here too. For example, my friend literally is going to have to deny himself a raise because if he gets even a 2$ raise an hour at his current job he will be unable to have his children covered by state health care assistance and he will have to put them on the plan at his company, which will be an additional 800$ a month, that is $400 for each child. He can't afford to get a raise, that is how truly ed this country is.
