Except for the hangover and the lines getting in I had a blast. Yeah, it was a mess trying to get in. I knew I should have tried to get there earlier but I was lagging as usual and didn't get there until around 10:45. Will call line was a Digweed flashback like in2muzikk said. Line seemed to move okay but I didn't get in until around 11:20. As soon as I got in I made the mad dash to get to the main floor, but it was already blocked off. F. Not really unexpected since they usually close it off by 11 but I was hoping that the long lines and wait to get in would have made the closure happen a little later. They eventually opened it up again after 12:30 and I finally made my way into the main room.
It was great seeing sweetcandy-girl, GPC, in2muzikk, Quazar, RobertStern and modthispny still on the dance floor until the very last song. I know Markus probably says it at all the shows he does but he really seems to love playing in LA. Makes a little shout out at @2:49 in the last video.

I flew to LA from SF to see this set, first time at Avalon. Before this set I always thought the best Schulz set I saw was at Ruby Skye when he played a 6 hour set for NYE. That set on Saturday night was something else. I don't think I've ever seen Markus throw down like that ever, simply amazing. That will go down as probably the best and most memorable one for me (I've seen him close to 20 times now). He had a good balance of everything and really knew how to control the crowd. He played most of the vocals and popular hits at the beginning of the night. Things just got really dark, twisted, and bangin once he did the b2b with Khomha. From 4-7AM it was just full on destruction, banger after banger. Khomha had a very good opening set as well, I can't wait to see an actual full set from him later on.
Overall it was a really good night and well worth $35. You guys in LA are so lucky to have so many extended sets from him. Avalon is a pretty sick ass club, LA folks definitely know how to party hard. If any of you guys haven't seen Schulz do a long set at Avalon yet I highly suggest you go next time, you will not be disappointed!
