This could be confusing for someone who's never been to Avalon before (it was confusing to me the first time they did it, and I must have been there a hundred times!) So here are some more details:
It's possible that you may enter Avalon through the main entrance, side upstairs entrance (North side) or side downstairs entrance (South side). So, if you are upstairs after getting inside, go downstairs. If you're already downstairs in the lobby, then you should see the following: Big staircase that goes up the left and right-hand side. The entrance to the dance floor is (unless they change it) on the left-hand side, underneath that staircase.
If you're there early enough, walk right in and you're on the dance floor. If the dance floor has already filled up, there will be a clusterf*ck of people waiting outside this entrance, with security yelling at everyone to go upstairs. Do that, and you won't get in for a very long time. Some people tip the bouncers to get in faster, but I usually just stay closest to the wall on the left side of the entrance, and eventually the line moves.
To find the restroom from the dance floor, go through the left hand side exit (which was on the right when looking at the staircase from the other side before entering the dance floor). Don't go past the roped-off area near the restrooms, or you'll have to wait to get onto the dance floor all over again!
There is a small room with a bar to the right of the stage (nearly all the way up front, then head right and go left just before the wall. 99.99% chance that the small spiral staircase leading to the upstairs area will be shut off except for VIP, but if it's open, you can climb the stairwell and there's a cool upstairs room with some sofas and a single restroom (with very long lines later in the night).
The other upstairs WTF area can be accessed by going up either of the staircases which were visible in the main lobby. You'll know that you're in the right place once you go "WTF!" To go up the stairs to this area, you'll have to go outside the ropes into the lobby, so make sure there's no clusterf*ck of people waiting at the left side entrance before trying this, unless you just want to say "WTF" the whole night upstairs...

I'm 23 haha. That actually sounds like my favourite club in Melbourne on a really good night lol. I've seen Markus at least 5/6 times now and know he'll play a good set so I'm really up for it. Khomha has never been to Aus so pumped to see him! (Anyone know if he's playing before or after Markus?)

Haha please do! I know all the promoters in Melbourne's trance scene and I've been in the scene for about 5 years now so can definitely show you a good night of trance!

PS. I was also told that friend of mine Marlo might be in LA around the same time as me and may be playing as well so I'll be there if he does play. |

so while OTHER DJ's throw a hissy fit and cancel a gig because the size of their logo is 2 sizes too small..other DJ's, such as Markus Schulz really show that they are in it for their fans.
found out on twitter that markus has control the whole night for this show, so in theory he can start, then khomha can take over, then markus can follow after him.
