Jack Moss - The Singularity [Drum & Bass]

This mix started with a request from Lira. We were chatting about drum 'n bass and he asked if I would ever consider making a set of heavy, peak time material. I was originally going to do another atmospheric d&b set, but after doing a bit of browsing on Beatport this idea grabbed me so completely I spent all night hunting for tracks and testing them out. The resulting mix went from concept to completion in three days - my fastest ever turn-around. I've never had so much fun mixing a set. Not only was it refreshing to ditch ideas of atmosphere and focus entirely on crafting something that would work on a dancefloor, this style of drum 'n bass also got me right out of my comfort zone and made me rethink how I used and mixed tracks. If you're expecting typical Jack Moss spacey atmospherics you'll be disappointed, but if you want something with some raw, untamed energy look no further.

This makes me very, very happy. Been ages since I heard a good darkside mix. Looking forward to it.

Although it does venture into darkside in places, this mix is actually very melodic and epic. I wouldn't want potential listeners to be scared off, thinking this is 70 minutes purely of nerve-shredding neurofunk.

Bierheld
Well, darksiders are equally scared of melody. You can't please everyone eh?

Darksiders are in short supply on TA. People here are still trance goons at heart, and they want melody and feel-good vibes.

Sorry for the cliche' feedback but I had a seriously good time with this. Trainspotting was next to impossible. The songs were top-notch. Brilliant work and thanks for posting it. Other than highly recommending this, I don't have anything more to say that does it justice.
