How would you headline a festival with unknowns? The whole point of a festival is to draw the most people to the event, its for the masses.

Not even saying unknowns dude, there are a bunch of big HEADLINER type guys out there that could be booked which would arguably bring in a bigger crowd then some of the same headliners that get booked here on the reg.

The big tech & house guys that are still respectable but commercial enough for a big party like this to bring in a crowd ... Carola, Luciano, Vath, Locodice, Visionquest, Hot Natured, Maceo Plex etc ...

Maceo Plex at this festival... stop making me cum

You know, you don't have to go.....

Try organizing something and then come back to repost.

It will be a great event and a huge production for Echo Beach size. For those going to BPM, this will definitely bridge the gap until the early spring.

I can understand aversion to risk with an outdoor winter event, especially a two day one. But I wish promoters in this city would get more creative.

Agreed with you completely but I'm not surprised they are going with tried, tested and true artists for the 1st event. We'll see how much Electric Nation mixes things up for the 2nd Digital Dreams this summer, given last year was a massive success. If they bring in the same old names then we can obviously expect it every year.

Either way.. I'm really excited for this party. Yeah, it's the same old names, but it's a new venue and a new idea for Toronto and that's enough to interest me for now.

Lol I know I don't, just like I don't have to go to GUV (and haven't in like 3-4 years) or any other club where I don't like the bookings. I don't really care if i'm not feeling a lineup, it just means I won't go. By now I have been to enough parties in my lifetime that I don't feel the need to go to every event. If there is something interesting going on I will give it a go, if it is more of the same old then it isn't really worth it anymore IMO. I just don't understand why it always has to be the same names, when I think that a party could be just as successful (if not more) with different bookings.

I will say that this does seem like a cool event, I just don't know if the lineup (from what has been posted already) will be enough to get ME to go. If not, i'm geeeeeeeving and won't lose any sleep over it !!!

;)

Sure does! I actually like the name of the event too. Can't argue with $40 for a whole weekend, either!

On the other hand, I don't care how good the lineup turns out to be - they could have Jesus b2b Digweed for all I care - I'm staying inside. :tongue3

Love how there is still bottle service on a fraking outdoor festival
