| quote: | | In this day Juan Paulino is a born prodigy. Learning how to beatmatch at the age of twelve. A well passionate musician who loves electronics music from the first time he put his headphones on and listened to Paul Van Dyk's seven ways in 1996. It was the first album he was introduced to. Later on the years Juan began to establish his own sound in his recording studio. Inspired by the likes of John Askew, Smith & Plegder and Super8. Juan has appeared on shows such as The Vanishing Point, Spectrum of Sound, and was choosen by DI.FM for monthly play in their radio station. | if you are making 100 000$ a year looking at a screen all day , would you be looking at a laptop screen ? It isn't rocket science. Graphic designers that make a living do not use laptop screens as their primary visual reference. |

Just curious, why would you use the acronym if you just had to type it to define it afterward anyway? :tongue2 |

What the did you bunch of cunts do to my thread?
I'm with Geoff and Richie on this one though. Retina displays look nice and all but honestly completely unnecessary for audio production and they really are just another toy to make the products shiny, not useful.
oh, and at least four of my friends are professional graphic designer, 3 owrking for major fashion brands and one his own design consultancy.
Only one of them even owns a laptop, and that's just in case he has to visit clients. All work done on Mac Pro with Cinema displays or 27 inch imacs.
So no, graphic designers that actually have jobs, don't use laptops.
In the same way studio engineers don't use dance ejay, or alcoholics (like myself) don't order shandies.
If you spend 10 hours a day looking at a screen, 15" monitors get really small, really fast. |
