Our sense of being grossed out is all out of whack. We are ewwing at gay people kissing but are fine with those slow mo gore zooms in like dexter/csi/grey's anatomy/the evening news.
I think I'm more comfortable seeing dicks go into dude's s (presuming there is no involved) than I am with people being cut open. If being exposed and desensitized to gorefests is okay, they could at least give us nipple slips.
I'm about 85% straight 15% not myself, I don't go looking for dudes to get close to, but am not completely opposed to it happening with the right person. |

My girl got offended because a couple gay dudes (at least she assumed) were checking me out last night. We walked into the beach bar and they didn't give her a look at all, according to her. They looked me up and down and just kept staring at me.
I usually don't pay mind to this , so I didn't see it.
But yea, she laughed and said out loud, "I'd almost rather girls stare at you like that than some gay dudes."
I took it as a huge compliment :D |

I even put to the test a few years ago by watching some bi porn, were you had too guys ing each other with a girl in between the action and I was able to comfortably knock one out. |
You have to be a little bi/gay to be able to do that i suppose? |

Why is it okay for women to make out without being called gay or fags. it's like you see two women making out, people accept it no matter what sex they are. then you see two guys make out or even holding hands, both gender outsider gets sicken

I sometimes wonder if I should stop eating at Chik Filet.
Its not my fault when I need something fast they are one of the only fast food places to have things besides greasy fried foods :(
At the same time, maybe I should just suck it up and make a sammich? |

To elaborate, for me it's always been far more frustrating dealing with bigotry when it's below the surface. If someone has a problem with me I'd much rather they actually say it then make up excuses for why they don't want to hire me or let me in to their establishment.
How are we ever supposed to discuss a solution when people are confined to only say what is politically correct? The result of all these taboos is that it drives people away from each other, as people will try to avoid confrontational situations altogether in fear of being exposed for what they are. Or pathetically victimize themselves like the OP here. I truly believe it's a dead end.
I would prefer it if we insult each other all the time, so we get confronted with our faults and can try and improve ourselves, or just learn to be able to deal with having different preferences. A much needed rebalance of reason and emotion, which I think is critical for living peacefully in modern individualist societies. |
This isn't untrue, BUT:
Racism, sexism, homophobia is not a criticism of a fault. Its totally nonfactual generalisation about individuals based on the groups they (may) belong to.
We can TALK about it, but being racist, or homophobic etc doesn't help anyone. That makes no sense.
If someone acts like an idiot; cool, tease them or point it out to them. If you're criticising someone for how they look, or basically anything that they were born with, then you're not criticising someone's faults. You're an idiot. |
