anyone get into the old dj caffeine hard dance sets?

IT'S TIME FOR CAFFEINE!!!

i don't know what amount they put in red bull, but i'd stay away from it. folk have died from it.

also there's much more caffeine in tea(!) than in a can of coke. just though i'd put that out there as it seem to be a common misconception that coke contains lots of caffeine. of course it is the sugar that is the bastard.

don't drink tea or coffee as it seems useless. and in coffee's case, tastes downright bad. one of these stupid human habits, especially when you mentally think you 'need' it to 'function', therefore just worsening the habit.

Cracked today and had a can of Coke, because it's Friday and I've gone a whole week without any. Only 30mg of caffeine, but I still felt like God afterwards.

Are you saying you don't always feel like God?
Watts
Sometimes I'll throw a bag of Earl Grey in my coffee. It's less for a boost and more to have something to sip on for a few hours while rotting at my desk.

Jeez man, I don't even know what a caffeine buzz feels like at this point. Built up such a tolerance.

If I'm right you can get it in France since 2008. It was forbidden for 12 years. Studies in Holland didn't show any negative effects of Redbull. I believe someone already mentioned sort-alike studies.

I've been swamped with work this week and had to with less than 5 hours of sleep each night, and I feel like if I go to bed now I will sleep for 12 hours... but I haven't been out in a while and I've been looking forward to an allnighter with Gerd Janson, so I'm going to pop one or two red bulls in a short while and just hope that I won't drive myself off a bridge on the way back :)

Rarely drink coffee or energy drinks but I have a can or two of soda a day.

I usually have 2-3 cans of Relentless to get me through the day. It used to be 4, but i'm trying to cut back.

Although I mostly start with coffee at work, I never had the feeling I need coffee to get started. Others really need coffee to get started at all.
Anyone else here who doesn't clearly notice the effect of drinking caffeine?

That argument is in pointless. "folk" have died from water.
"too much" of anything isn't good for you.
Just balance the out. If you don't like it, fine, don't drink it.

But statements like Rodri made (red bull being somehow worse than alcohol/nicotine) are just outright wrong.

I drink a cup of tea pretty regularly, and a 1.5l of Coca Cola maybe once every second week.
This weekend I'm at a LAN party tho, so on my 2nd can (250ml cans) of Red Bull, and popping the first Coke Zero later today :)

Sleep is for the weak.
