In a word Awesome!
More to come!

Really? I thought the sound system was terrible. Unorganized food/drink lines.

Good music though, at least what I could hear.

Very mediocre, but nice turnout. I wont be returning.

Here's my review:

Arrived at around 4pm. The ticket holder line was just as long as the cash line, and it seemed the cash line was moving faster. I think alot of people didnt print out their tickets, so I wont fault the organizer for that.

Finally got in, and was greeted with a nice little stage setup. Perfect for a larger cherry beach event.. but definitely way too small for the crowd there.

The crowd was pretty douchebaggy, lots of dude bro goin on. Really pushy...sorta reminded me of This is London on a bad night. It certainly wasnt the cherry beach vibe.

I bumped into many TA's though, nice to see you folk as always.

The sound straight up sucked. Sounded like a whole lotta red line. I was mostly there for My Favorite Robot as I love their melodic/techno'y sound. All the nuances of their tracks were lost. The speaker system would have been alright for 500 people, but not for the thousands that were there. It was just garbled and noisy.

Beer lines were relatively quick, and the pricing was reasonable. $6 a can is pretty standard for an outdoor event.

They did run out of food at 5 or 6 pm though.

I peaced out at around 8pm. The crowd, inability to get food, and the terrible sound just wasnt worth it.

I can understand that throwing an event of that caliber requires alot of logistical coordination and setup, but they missed the mark huge on a lot of things.

Unless its some uber headliner, and they change the sound system, I dont see myself going again.

^ Spot on imo, elaborated my post perfectly. To add, the sound was cutting out/ stopping earlier on even though the system was poop. The crowd wasnt too douchebaggy but not too friendly hehe, there was a fight broken out too. Cherry beach was better, for 5 bucks and better vibe.

Sounds like they didn't make the right impression the first time around.. I didn't go to this event (looks like I made the right decision) but I have many friends that were there and they all more or less were disappointed. Hope the organizers take notes and do a better job for the next time.

Waited so long for food to be told there's non left.. The burgers already paid for didn't look to appetizing anyway. The sound was pretty bad, Seth troxler was ' meh ' , seen him in the bathroom. For 20$ + ferry + go I don't see myself returning either. No matter where I stood someone would walk infront of me and stop me from dancing. Cherry beach >>>>>>>>> as stated

At least they made their money. :p I didnt have "too" much of a bad time, I just feel sorry for my friends, they were banking on the food, and the rest as stated didnt help.

I had fun.

Special K
I had a great time.

But if there is one thing that needs work it is the sound, pretty much needed to be right up front the entire time to hear the music.

Mfr were good, nitin was kinda boring, Seth was fun and great IMO.

Def in for the next one.

Forever Forward
Showed up at 4pm to Carlo Lio spinning, which was a nice surprise. The music was good, the weather was beautiful, and it was cool dancing on the island, but the sound really sucked. In fact, that was the worst sound I've heard at a party.

As many have mentioned, you had to be up close to hear the music, and even still, many of the subtleties were lost.

Seth started off his set in a fun way, but I bounced around 9:30, so I didn't hear how he finished up.

I had a good time, but I'll skip the next one and wait to see if they improve the sound before deciding whether I'll go back.

hmm... sounds like a case of overhype and lots of last min show ups overwhelming the event planners?
