So basically because he's bought SOME stuff, and SOME people abuse systems and you CAN'T copyright presets it's kinda ok?

I don't give a if he's single handedly supported the plugin industry since 1999.

Openly asking for commercial stuff (whether legally copyright or not) for free is ing bull.

And I suspect you know it.

Could your attitude be any worse? Did a pirate murder your parents, or something??? Good lord....

Actually, I think if you buy all your stuff legit and then happen to download one soundbank, I personally don't give a . I won a business and I had theft and fraud done to me several times. DO I like it? No. Do I encourage it? No. Is it just part of doing any business? yes......

........But have a look at his first post. He asked for free presets, not stolen or pirated, and you told him to "get a ing job".

I hope that was just you being facetious but I can't tell from your subsequent responses.

The implication was that giving him commercial banks would be cool too.

We all know that most people have warez at some point or another, but openly asking for it, or saying it's ok is one of my pet peeves. The attitude filters down to all newcomers to the industry to the point where there's an assumption that it should all be free, or at least if it's not it's ok to make it free.

And I wasn't being facetious. The Universe doesn't owe you presets just because you can't afford them. Same as it doesn't owe you food, cinema tickets, dental care or a new DVD.

I wonder if there's a link between that attitude and people still not knowing what they're doing. It seems there is a link to me.

easy son ,

i never said it was ok. I never said it was wrong. It is among many things that might define your moral core. It is a spectrum. I think he is guilty of just being insensitive. And i think we should all just be a little more vulnerable.

I did say it was incredibly tacky which it was.

Sometimes, when a bunch of guys are not getting along, you just need to get together, have a bath and hug it out.

HAVE to? lmfao :p It was a choice son.

I earn enough money to live dicking about with synths an hour or two per day, and I can't get sacked and then whine about not having the money to buy soundsets.

Not that I need to because I know how to do it anyway.

You try to make a living from selling presets?
tehlord
Amongst other diversifications.

Deillon
Do you sell much? I mean all sylenth preset packs pretty much sound the same, so you only need to get one.
tehlord
Most dance tracks sound the same, but people still release and sell them.

Content is what sells these days.
