Logic 9 it is!

I'm so glad I bought Logic 9 last week and don't get an upgrade path.

I can't afford X right now so I'm entitled to just warez it right? I mean the amount of money I've spent on gear entitles me to doesn't it?

In any case, I really don't see much reason for me to upgrade at this point and I've never been a fan of early adoption.

The only interesting thing is the iPad control. And I don't have an iPad :p

I bought Logic 9 a few months ago, so I'm not happy about the lack of upgrade price, either. And I already use V-Control Pro, but I'm interested to see this new iPad controller. I like the new design and most of the improvements will be nice. I'll probably be upgrading, but just gotta make sure that I will still be able to run the plugins that I have installed on my MBA.

64bit only is kind of a ballsy move

As expected, looks like FCPX (and some elements from Garageband).
Some instruments/plugins still have the same dated look, not quite sure if that was a good choice by Apple.
The ugly stick...compared to the rest of the user interface, but it ensures they won't upset the old userbase.

Would've loved to see something like ES2 sport an interface like the one from the new Retro Synth.
ES2 (and ES1) has a fiddly and chaotic interface IMO, not to mention the small type.
I know you can resize the native Logic plugins, but Retro Synth's interface looks more inviting.

BTW...single-window interface, because we all have a 27" ACD or iMac right? RIGHT?!

Eager to try it out though!

100$ says it still suffers from the single core bug.

So the 'Requires 64-bit Audio Units plug-ins' means none of my 32-bit plugins will work? Well that's pants.
Looney4Clooney
there are 3rd party solutions.

To be honest, i think all DAWs should just do it and force them to just ing finish the decade long change. I mean they ahve been selling 64 bit hardware for ing ions. Just end 32 support. Every daw maker should just stop it.

not having 64 bit versions of you plugins is just a joke.
